HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #725 – Elimination Chamber Supershow – San Diego, CA

Hello fans and welcome to our Supershow!  We are coming to you LIVE from sunny San Diego, California. The sold out show promises to exceed all expectations.  As a reminder, in tonight’s Elimination Chamber matches, one team will retain their jobs while the losing team will be headed for the unemployment line.  

We head to the back where reporter Clarkus Kentus is with 2 of the ladies from the Phoenix roster Madame Jade and Scarlett Phoenix.  Missing is Taylor Bella as she stated that she has to be in the chamber with two of her enemies doesn’t mean she stands with them like a happy go lucky team.  Madame Jade states that she’s excited to represent Phoenix alongside Scarlett and they feel that with our without Taylor’s help, they have the makings of a winning team.  Scarlett agrees and says that experience will be the deciding factor and they will continue their winning ways.

We cut to another part backstage where the Wicked Prophet is with Ruby Rose and Violet Valkyrie.  Missing is Vanilla Zombie who, through her manager, said that her team is not going to show her up and she will be the one reigning supreme.  Ruby wishes her teammate good luck and says that they’ve got this.  Violet chimes in and says that the Phoenix roster may have been around longer than they have however, with youth and exuberance on their side, they will bring the win home to Tacoma.  They leave and the Wicked Prophet wishes them good luck.

Pyro goes off and our show is about to begin.   GM’s Max McGillicutty and Master Bull come out thanking the fans for attending the show.  Max said “Typically, Tacoma would typically host this but with all the hype surrounding the show and our continued hopes working with other states, we continue to fine tune our ability to take our shows on the road.”  Master Bull added “And with Elimination Chamber being a ‘Phoenix’ event,  Max and I agreed that fans from all over want to experience an HCW show and what better place than southern CA for us to build those relationships for future events.”  Max concluded “Without further ado, let’s get this party started.”  They left and pyro went off once again.

ELIMINATION CHAMBER - LADIES

The bell rings and introduces the first team.  Taylor Bella was the first to come out and was booed as she headed down to the ring.  She immediately went into the chamber and began stretching.  Next, Scarlett Phoenix and Madame Jade made their way out and the fans popped for them.  They high-fived the fans and then entered the structure.  The music changed and then Ruby Rose came out.  The fans popped pretty loud for her and she made her way down to the chamber but didn’t enter.  Smoke filled the stage and like a rocket, Violet Valkyrie came shooting through it on her zipline heading down to the chamber.  When she stopped, she was actually above the cage.  She dropped down onto it and the crowd popped.  She eventually climbed down and then entered the structure with Ruby.  The music changed once again and this time Vanilla Zombie came out with her manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.  She regarded the fans booing her with disgust and then made her way down to the ring.  She entered the cage as Preacher went to go sit at commentary. 

The first fall begins with Madame Jade and Ruby Rose starting off.  Jade bounced Ruby’s head into the corner but Ruby drops her with an inverted DDT.  She goes for the pin but Jade kicks out right away.  Ruby hits a roundhouse kick.  She turns to the corner where Vanilla Zombie is mouthing off.  Ruby tags her in and smirks.  Jade climbs to the top of the pop and connects with a splash.  She goes for the pin but Taylor blind tags herself in.  Scarlett joins her and they double team Vanilla.   Vanilla nullifies a sitout facebuster from Taylor and tags Ruby back in.  Ruby and Taylor slug it out for a couple of minutes and Violet gets tagged in.  Violet executes a flying shoulder smash Taylor back first into the chamber.  Taylor gets up but drops after getting hit with a jumping knee smash.  Taylor then went for a sunset flip but Violet held on the ropes.  Vanilla rushed over and KICKED Violet’s hands off the ropes.  Taylor rolled with it and with a handful of tights, she got the 1-2-3.  Violet is eliminated.  (10 min)  Ruby is pissed and yells at Vanilla who just looks at her.

The next fall begins with Tacoma at a 2 to 3 disadvantage.  This next fall went a whopping 23 minutes with Ruby doing a lot of the work but Vanilla did her part.  Scarlett Phoenix and Madame Jade took the fight to their opponents but Ruby had a lot of pent up anger and used it wisely.  After lots of double teaming, Vanilla hits Scarlett with the Soul Crusher and tagged Ruby back in.  Scarlett attempted to take Ruby off her feet with a headscissors but Ruby nullified it and then hit the Nightmare Make Believe Buster.  She then looked at Jade as she made the cover getting the 1-2-3.  Ruby gets the win for her team and we’re tied back up at 2-2.  Scarlett is eliminated.

Fall #3 begins and once again, there was a lot of double teaming but the dislike between Ruby and Vanilla and Taylor and Jade began to show through with the villains attempting to usurp their partner’s ability to try and win the match.  At one point, Jade got injured but Taylor pulled her to their corner, tagged herself in and kicked her off the apron.  Just before Jade was able to get back in, Taylor got injured but took the ref down with her injuring him too.  Jade repaid the favor by tagging herself back in and dumped Taylor to the floor.  Once Jade got back in the ring, Vanilla began choking her on the top rope and then tagged Ruby back in.  Ruby locks in an upsidedown headlock but Jade locks in the Jade Breaker but Ruby doesn’t tap out.  Vanilla gets tagged back in as does Taylor.  Vanilla hits an atomic drop but while going for a second one, Taylor pulled out brass knuckles and popped her in the head.  She fell on top of Vanilla, hooked the leg and got the 3 count.  Vanilla Zombie is eliminated.  (21 min)

Fall #4 is a short fall with Ruby supporting the weight of Tacoma on her shoulders.  She gives it her all against Taylor and Jade.  It was actually surprising how well she did against 2 competitors. Taylor began to take a more prominent role pushing Jade out of the way.  She dropkiced Ruby out of the ring but didn’t pursue as she jawjacked with Jade.  Jade tags herself in only to be hit by the Red Wedding Facebuster. Ruby makes the cover but only gets a 2 count.  Taylor tags back in but Ruby drops her with an inverted DDT.   Jade throws her hands up not caring about Taylor.  Ruby gets the 3 count and now it’s down to the final 2 participants.  (8 min).  Taylor is eliminated.

Fall #5 is the last one with one team retaining their contracts and the others out of a job.  Ruby locks in a modified boston crab but Jade drags her face on the ringrope.  Jade follows it up with a slingshot suplex.  Jade then smashes Ruby’s head into the corner.  Ruby explodes with a power bomb.   Ruby locks in the upside down headlock.  Madame Jade hits a slingshot suplex but Ruby hits an inverted DDT.  Ruby makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Ruby Rose is the sole survivor and because of her win, Tacoma’s team will keep their jobs but we will have to say goodbye to Phoenix.  (6 min)  Ruby, being the last woman standing, will get a shot at the Ladies title whenever she wants it.  Ruby leaves to a huge pop from the crowd.  Once on the stage, she salutes the fans and then leaves.

Backstage, the Wicked Prophet, one by one, wishes all of the competitors for the men’s Elimination Chamber match good luck.  The last person to leave, Apollo Gyze, says that he won’t apologize for Phoenix losing their careers and he says that if it could have happened, he wouldn’t have minded seeing Master Bull put his career on the line too but sometimes you get what you’re going to get.  Apollo walks off.

ELIMINATION CHAMBER - MEN

Our next match is ready to begin.  First, the Phoenix team makes their way out.  The Machines (B & P) make their way out first to a nice pop from the crowd.  ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger makes his way out next and the crowd pops a little louder.  Next, Sonic Blade comes out and the fans pop even louder.  The fans go sour when the final member of the Phoenix team – ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild comes out.  The fans boo the crap out of him but he smirks and just flips them off.   The music changes and the Tacoma roster begins to make their way out.  Protocide is the first participant out and he gets a decent pop.  ‘The King of Cones’ Magnum Kone makes his way out next and the fans pop.  Third, Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out and the fans explode.  Fourth, Texas Wildfire comes out and the fans continue the deafening pop.  Finally, we hear the eye-rolling groan of “Apollo Gyze don’t apologize” and out comes Apollo.  The fans boo him but he doesn’t seem to care.   Drew stops Apollo telling him he needs to start off the match but Apollo rushes for one of the pods and locks himself in.  Drew pulls on the door but Apollo holds it shut with a chain wrapped around the handle.   The match begins with Top Gun and the Machines on one side and TW, Protocide and Magnum Kone.  Protocide was kept in the ring the longest but when he made the hot tag to TW, the fans would pop huge.  After a couple of minutes, Magnum Kone got tagged in but he only got in a couple of shots before he was double and triple teamed by the Phoenix roster.  After the ref cleared the ring, Magnum began to make a comeback but a distraction from outside the chamber caught his attention.  Someone was stealing his ice cream cart.  The perpetrator turned around and it was the Banker.  He laughed as he made his way to the back with the cart.   He turned around to see Winger, who was bouncing off the ropes come flying at him connecting with a Wild Bill punch.  Winger makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Magnum Kone is eliminated. (15 min)

The next round begins with Drew entering the fray.  Winger goes to sit out and is replaced by Sonic Blade.   Protocide starts this one off and the Machines took advantage of the exhausted state he was in and kept him sequestered to their corner.  Sonic gets tagged in and goes for an atomic drop but Protocide reverses it going for a clothesline but Sonic negates that. Sonic then does something unlike him and his character, he drags Protocide’s face across the cage blinding him but Protocide drops him with an elbow smash.  He rolls Sonic up (and puts his feet on the ropes for leverage!) and got the quick 3 count.  Sonic Blade is eliminated.  We are down to 4 on 4 but Apollo still refuses to enter the ring.

Round #3 sees ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild enter the ring for the first time in the match.  He makes sure to go over and mock Apollo and Drew.  Reid teams up reluctantly with the Machines and they take the match to their opponents.  It does seem that Tacoma is wearing out faster than the Phoenix side.   Reid makes his appearance at the 10 minute mark dropping TW with the Rothchild Stunner.  After letting the Machines beat down some more on TW, Reid comes back in to hit the Rothchild (Hogan) leg drop.  Reid once more goes over to mock Drew and Apollo but he turns around only to get hit by the Hangman’s clothesline.  TW makes the quick cover and gets the 3 count.  Reid Rothchild is eliminated!  Uh OH!  Reid is one half of the tag team champions.  If Phoenix loses, what will happen to the tag belts??? (12 min)

Round #4 sees Drew the Canadian Love Machine come in to share some of the workload with TW and the fans pop huge for him.  The Machines also seem to take on the bulk of the fighting for their team.  TW started things off with catapulting Machine B into the cage.  4 minutes later, Drew joins in but an accidental bump takes the ref out of action.  All 6 men hit the ring and begin slugging it out until the ref shook it off and got back to his feet.  After a piledriver from Machine B almost eliminated TW, the hot tag was made and Protocide gets in a few good licks before tagging Drew in.  Drew immediately climbs to the top of one of the pods, flashes the ‘Superfly’ hand signal and then leaps off landing on Machine B.  Drew hooks the leg getting the 1-2-3.  Machine B has been eliminated.  (20 min)  Drew goes to have words with Apollo who still has his pod locked refusing to get into the ring.

Round #5 goes for another exhausting 18 minutes and surprisingly didn’t have a lot of high spots.  At one point in the match, Phoenix GM Master Bull came out.  He went to talk to Winger who entered the ring right after his conversation.  He then blasted TW with a foreign object and almost got a 3 count if it weren’t for TW’s presence of mind.  Protocide tried to get Machine P to submit to the Super Soldier test of strength but he didn’t.  As we were nearing the 18^th minute of the match, the lights go dim and the stage goes dark except for one single light gently swaying.  The lights slowly came back up and standing in the chamber is Wilber Townsend and he hits Texas Wildfire with the GTS.  Wilber then exits the structure accompanied by security.  Winger takes advantage of the attack and goes for the pin getting the 3 count.  Texas Wildfire is eliminated.

Round #6 once again sees Apollo hiding in his pod refusing to participate leaving Protocide and Drew to cover for their team.  Drew, seeing that Protocide is totally exhausted, stays in the ring for this round and it was longer than any of the others.  Phoenix continued their onslaught of Tacoma and after Machine P hit the ‘Phat’s enough’ (hey, wait a sec, is that who we think it is?) Machine P makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Drew the Canadian Love Machine is eliminated.  Machine P removes his mask and…holy crap…its Phat Sol.  Phat must have been under the mask this whole time.  What a hell of a time for a reveal.  Master Bull enters the chamber and yells at Apollo for being such a coward and tells him to get in the ring for his team.  When Apollo refused, Master Bull pulled out a sledgehammer and broke the door to Apollo’s pod.  Now, Apollo has to enter the ring.

Round #7 saw Apollo begrudgingly enter the ring but as soon as the bell rang, the freshest man went to town hitting Top Gun with a triple powerbomb.  After that, Winger had to tag out.   Protocide and Apollo shared the same amount of in-ring action and 21 minutes in, Protocide tags himself in (as Apollo refused to tag out) and locked Machine P (Phat Sol) up with the Super Soldier test of strength.  P was just as exhausted as the rest and eventually had to tap out.  Machine P/Phat Sol is eliminated.  Right after the submission, Apollo left the ring and went back to another pod and locked himself in leaving Protocide to defend Tacoma on his own.  Winger is left as the final member of the Phoenix roster.

Round #8 was one on one action between Winger and Protocide.  In their battle, there was, as expected, lots of rest spots as both men were exhausted.  Somehow Winger kept digging deeper and would stun the fans with a powerful move.  Protocide hits a weak hip toss.  Just then, Hardcore Champion Hardcore Hensen (HEY, HE’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE!) hits the ring and begins dismantling Protocide.  Hensen hits Protocide with the ‘Hard Times’ and he’s out.  Hensen then leaves the ring.  Winger then jumped up onto the turnbuckles and launched with a flying body splash connecting in the middle of the ring.  Winger made the cover getting the 3 count.  Protocide is eliminated.  Now, we are down to 1:1 and Apollo has no choice but to re-enter the ring.

Apollo Gyze wins with a Climb out of steel cage over 'Top Gun' Justin Winger!!!

Apollo Gyze wins the chamber and brings Tacoma the win.  With this, he earns a title shot at any title of his choice.  This also means that the competing Phoenix team are now out of a job.  Before the show could come to an end, Apollo grabbed a mic and yelled “Kiss my ass Master Bull.  Hahahahahahahaha”.

This was a hell of a show and we thank you sticking around with us.  We are sure that there will be fallout from this and as we head into our final PPV of the year in mid-December, things will continue to get interesting. Stay Tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #724 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat. The show begins with pyro and then GM Master Bull makes his way out.  Bull says that the final 2 elimination chamber matches will take place tonight and the teams for both Phoenix and Tacoma will be set in stone.  Bull reminds us that it will be Phoenix vs Tacoma and he has all the confidence in the world his team, once completed, will pull it through.  Also on the card, Elitism defends their Tag Team titles in a rematch against the former champions the Mexicali Flyers.   Finally, there will be a fatal 4 way to determine who will be the next wrestler to gain a shot at World Champion King Rad Gumbo.   Bull then leaves as the crowd pops, pyro goes off one more time and the show is ready to begin. 

Our first match of the night is an Elimination Chamber qualifier.  First, the Banker makes his way out along with his manager Ruth Heartless.  The fans boo as the duo make their way down to the ring.  The Banker threatens to hit a few fans with his briefcase but holds back (barely).  Once in the ring, the music changes and out comes Sonic Blade.  The fans pop as one of the hometown favorites makes his way down to the ring.  Sonic gets to play double duty tonight as he’s also going to be part of the fatal 4 way.  The match begins and Ruth starts off early by distracting Sonic with her beauty.  The Banker then locks in the ATM Fee armbar and was going for a submission until Magnum Kone ran down and jumped in the ring attacking the Banker causing the DQ.  The Banker immediately fled with Magnum in hot pursuit.  The Banker gets the win via DQ and it looks like Sonic will be going to the chamber.  (2 min)

The Six Man Tag Team champions the Fifth Column bump into the Machines.  Baron von Blood starts to harass them until ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger walked over.  Winger told the Column to back off or there may be a problem.  Oswald Zimmerman told Winger to watch where he sticks his nose.  Winger says that if the Column is itching for a fight, he’d stand with the Machines to take them on.  The Column agree to the match but immediately state it will not be for the titles.  Winger says it’s ok that they will enjoy kicking the Column’s collective asses all over the ring.  All six men then dispersed. 

Our next match is up.  First, the Machines (B & P Machine) come out to a pop from the crowd.  Next, ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger joins them.  The crowd pops as they make their way down to the ring.  They were in the process of getting the crowd psyched up until the music changed and out comes the Six Man Tag Champs the Fifth Column (Baron von Blood, Karl Braun & Oswald Zimmerman).  The crowd boos them heavily and the champs flipping the fans off did little to dampen the noise.  Winger begins the match dropping the Baron with an arm drag take down.  He tags in the B Machine who is immediately triple teamed and try as he may, he could not get to his corner.   At one point, the B Machine made the hot tag but the ref was distracted and therefore didn’t see it negating any help.  The Column continued to beat down the B Machine and taunt P Machine and Winger.  9 minutes into the match and everyone was in the ring.  Winger hits the Baron with a chinlock forearm smash that sent him out of the ring.  The B Machine hit Karl Braun with a piledriver and he rolled out of the ring.  The P Machine hit Oswald with a jaw jacker.  The ref then sent Winger and P Machine out of the ring but Oswald grabbed B Machine preventing him from making the tag.  B Machine drops Oswald with a piledriver and almost makes it to his corner but Baron and Karl prevented it.  Winger hits the ring and Karl with a body press that sent both over the top rope to the floor.  P Machine hits a superkick on Baron and follows him out.  B Machines gets psyched up and drops Oswald with another piledriver.  He makes the cover and gets the 3 count.  Winger and the Machines get the win over the champs.  The crowd pops for them but since this was a non-title match, the belts do not change hands.  The champs grabbed their titles (and their pride) and made their way to the back.  (12 min)

Backstage, the Wicket Prophet meets up with Sonic Blade. Sonic says that his going to the chamber will only help his team win against Tacoma and that he’s not concerned.  He then says he needs to go find Magnum Kone and have a discussion with him.  Sonic walks off.

We head back to the ring for our next match which is our final Elimination Chamber qualifier.  First, Missy Chick makes her way out to the ring and is booed.  She gets in the ring and starts doing jumping jacks.  Next, Scarlett Phoenix makes her way out to a nice pop from the crowd.  She high-fives the fans as she makes her way to the ring.   Missy immediately attacks her as she entered the ring but Scarlett takes her down with a headscissors flip.  Missy comes back and hits an exploder suplex.  Scarlett landed awkwardly.  Missy continues the assault and locks in a guillotine choke.  Scarlett, trapped in the middle of the ring, had no choice but to tap out. Missy steals a win and laughs as she leaves.  Scarlett is the final entrant into the chamber. 

Our Elimination Chamber Supercard now is complete.  Team Tacoma vs Team Phoenix.

Backstage, Wilber Townsend is with the Wicked Prophet.  Wilber says that now that he is in the top 10 for the World title, he says that King Rad Gumbo needs to be afraid.  Wilber says that no one will stand in his way to get something he should have had a long time ago.  “Beware the buzzards as they will feast on the Gumbo and have their fill.  Be afraid…be afraid.”  Creepy.

Our next match is for the World title placement in the top 10.   The lights dim and Wilber Townsend makes his way down to the ring with the music from ‘Deliverance’ plays softly in the background.   He gets to the ring and begins to mock the fans which of course elicits booing.  Next, defending his spot is Terra Ryzing.  As soon as Terra came out, Master Bull followed and said that the loser of this match will actually lose their spot in the top 10 so it’s not just about placement in the top 10 but holding onto your “spot”.   Terra started off strong but faltered the longer the match went on, Wilber seemed to be getting stronger.  About 12 minutes in, Wilber began hammering Terra’s back like a jack hammer.  When he thought Terra was ‘tenderized’ enough, he hit the Go to Sleep.  Wilber makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Wilber skyrockets up the rankings.  The fans boo as he leaves the ring.  Terra eventually left also.  (13 min)

The Wicked Prophet is backstage with the Mexicali Flyers and they say that tonight, things change for the better when they regain the World Tag Team titles.

We head back to the ring for our Fatal Four Way with the winner getting the next title shot at the World Champion.  First, Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out to a huge pop.  He is followed by Sonic Blade who also gets a good pop.  ITF Champion Jacques Beannot (his title is not on the line here) is next out and the fans boo him pretty bad.  Lastly, Texas Wildfire comes out and the fans once again pop.  The match begins with Jacques taking on TW.  The ITF champion held his own but soon, the three faces ended up being too much for him and he tried to leave.  He was half way up the ramp when the Wicked Prophet came out and blocked Jacques’ way so that he could not leave.  Jacques had some choice words for the Prophet but ended up going back to the ring.  About 15 minutes in, Jacques removed the covering of the turnbuckle exposing the metal brackets below.  There was more double and triple teaming but no one went to that corner.  We join the match now at the 21 minute mark.

Texas Wildfire gets the win much to the crowd’s delight.  TW drops to his knees in exhaustion.  Sonic walks over and extends his hand in congratulations before leaving to help Drew (who has a nice sized knot on his head) to the back.   Jacques was nowhere to be seen as he must have stormed off in the last couple of minutes.  TW remains in the ring celebrating but its cut short when Wilber Townsend hits the ring attacking him.  Wilber dropped TW with the GTS.  Wilber then climbed the corner turnbuckles and launched hitting a moonsault on TW.  Wilber then stood over TW and asked for a mic.  “The buzzards still circle and there is more feast to be had.  You think you have the next spot when I just became the #1 contender.  No my friend.  If you want the next shot, you WILL meet me in the ring to determine who the true #1 contender is.  Beware, my friend, beware.”  Wilber then left.  The ref checked on TW and helped him to the back.

The Wicked Prophet is once again backstage and he is with Elitism – ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild and ‘Rowdy’ Roderick Rothchild and their manager the Ambassador.  Reid says that they have the titles and there is no way in Hell they’re losing them to a couple of schmucks from ‘over there’.  Roderick begs the Flyers to bring their best as it will only result in disappointment when Elitism defeats them again.

It’s time for our main event which is a rematch for the World Tag Team Titles.   First, the Mexicali Flyers (El Dragon Insano & Tornado en Fuego) come out to a loud pop from the crowd.  Next, the Ambassador leads Elitism out and down to the ring as the trio are booed pretty loud.  Reid begins by hitting the Reid Bottom on El Dragon but then the former champs double teamed Reid and it became a close match.  The Ambassador then added his influence and things then went the way of the champs.  15 minutes into the match, Roderick had just tagged Reid in.  Tornado en Fuego hit Reid with a tornado DDT but before he could go for the pin, the Ambassador grabbed the ref’s leg and pulled him out of the ring and then sucker punched him.  The ref immediately called for the bell disqualifying Elitism however the belts don’t change hands on a DQ.  The fans are disappointed that the Flyers didn’t win the belts.  The show came to an end with the Flyers still in the ring and Elitism making their way to the back holding their titles and laughing.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #723 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to our latest installment from HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  The Elimination Chamber super card is only a week away and between this and our next Phoenix show, we will have an idea who will be representing Tacoma vs Phoenix.  As a reminder, the team left standing at the end will retain their jobs and the losing team will be out. 

Pyro goes off and our show begins.  Kicking off the show today will be the first of our Elimination Chamber qualifiers.  First, Hayley Hailstone comes out to a nice pop from the crowd.  The fans are holding signs that read “Small but powerful”.  She gives hugs to little kids at ringside putting huge smiles on their faces.  Next, the music changes and out comes first ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher and he leads out Vanilla Zombie.  The fans boo her pretty loudly.  She and Preacher head to the ring.  Preacher tries to cause a distraction which would have allowed Vanilla to attack her but she caught on and halted that before it could happen.   The bell rings and Vanilla goes on a tear.  Preacher got involved a few times which ended Hayley’s offensive run.  Vanilla also used many dirty tricks to keep Hayley down.  12 minutes into the match, Vanilla hit a piledriver but then picked Hayley up for the Soul Crusher.  Hayley then pushed Vanilla out of the ring and with a burst of energy, hit the ropes and went flying through the ropes hitting a suicide dive right on Vanilla.  The fans popped HUGE.  Hayley then got back in the ring and climbed and sat on the top turnbuckle.  She got the fans to chant along with the ref 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10.  Vanilla does not make it back in (even with Preacher’s help) so Hayley gets the win via countout and Vanilla goes on to the Chamber.  

Vanilla will have to team with Ruby and Violet so THAT will be interesting.  (11 ½ min)

The Wicked Prophet is backstage and in walks the Tag Team Champions – Elitism.  ‘The Elitist’ Reid Rothchild and ‘Rowdy’ Roderick Rothchilid stand there smirking holding their titles.  Reid says that in a few short days, they are being required to defend their titles.  Since tonight’s match will determine who they are facing, they wanted to get an up close look.  The Wicked Prophet warns them about any interference but Roderick assures him that they are only there to scout.   The brothers snicker and walk off.   

We head to the ring for our next match.  Tonight, the challengers Adam Jameson and Billy Robbins challenge the former Tag Champs the Mexicali Flyers for the next spot in the title line up.  AJ and Billy come out first to a decent pop from the crowd.  Next, the Mexicali Flyers (Tornado en Fuego and El Dragon Insano) come out and the crowd pops huge.  The two make their way down to the ring, do their little schtick and then stand face to face in the middle of the ring with AJ and Billy.  Just then, music hits and out comes the World Tag Team Champions Elitism.  Reid and Roderick are booed as they head down to the ring.  The champs go to sit at commentary and mockingly waive at the Flyers.   The Flyers controlled the first few minutes but after a distraction from Elitism, AJ and Billy took control and ran with it dominating the Flyers.  A few times when the Flyers were making a comeback, Reid or Roderick would do something dastardly.   22 minutes into the match, Reid hit Tornado en Fuego with a steel chair while Roderick distracted the ref.  AJ then hit a gut buster and went for the pin but somehow Tornado kicked out.   Billy is tagged in and locked in a headlock.  Tornado then caught him with a HUGE knee lift knocking Billy silly.  Tornado went for the pin and got the 3 count.  The Mexicali Flyers get the win and will go on to the next show for a showdown with the champs.  Elitism was not happy and they hit the ring attacking the Flyers.  Reid drops El Dragon with a Reid-Bottom and Roderick hit Tornado with a Frankensteiner.   The champs stood over their soon-to-be opponents holding their titles high and eventually left.  (23 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

We head to the back where GM Max McGillicutty is with Texas Wildfire, Drew the Canadian Love Machine and the ITF Champion Jacques Beannot.  Jacques and Drew are on opposite sides of the room so that no altercation takes place.  Jacques’ manager ‘the Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher rushes in.  “Sorry I’m late but before you get started, I should have you know that as the ITF Champion, Jacques is already the unofficial #1 contender to the World title and there is no reason he should be subjugated to this kind of match.  Max tells Preacher to sit down and shut it.  Max tells the men that there is going to be a lot riding on the line and hopefully, one of the three of them would be able to bring the title to Tacoma.  Jacques chimes in saying that even though it’s been a while, HCW will have themselves a dual champion when he’s done.  Max tells him that if he wins the opportunity to face King Rad Gumbo and somehow wins, he will have to forfeit the US/ITF title. Jacques goes berserk.  “This is my title and you are making me relinquish it?  No!  That is unacceptable.  I don’t care about your stupid rules.  Preacher will protect my interests as the ITF Champion and I’ll defeat that betise (goofball) Gumbo and take his title. Compter sur ca” (count on that).  Jacques and Preacher then leave.

We head back to the ring for our next match and some tag team action.  First, the Cummings twins Felicia and Betsy make their way out and they are booed all the way to the ring.  They seem to relish in the angst from the crowd.  Next, the music changes and first, out comes Violet Valkyrie.  The fans pop.  She waits a moment and then is joined by Ruby Rose.  The fans pop again.  The duo make their way down to the ring high-fiving with the fans.  The enter the ring and the twins acted like they were going to attack getting Violet and Ruby to flinch but then backed off laughing.  Once the match began, the twins used their dirty, underhanded tactics to take control and own the match.  Even though Ruby and Violet were on the receiving end of the abuse, they had enough presence of mind to make the save each and every time a submission or pin was attempted.  At the 26 minute mark, Violet dropped Betsy Cummings with a running one-handed bulldog.  Betsy immediately tagged her sister in.  She dropped to the floor and then unexpectedly got pulled under the ring taking her out of the match.  Felicia looked around for her sister but she was nowhere to be found.  She turned attention back to the ring where Violet was waiting and immediately locked in a triangle choke.  Felicia flailed like a fish out of water trying to escape but it did no good.  She finally relented and tapped out giving the win to Ruby and Violet.  The fans popped.  They popped even lounder when Hayley Hailstone crawled out from under the ring.  She smiled and made her way to the back.  Violet and Ruby soaked in the adulation from the fans before heading to the back on their own.  (27 min)

Once again we head backstage and the Wicked Prophet is with Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister.  Davis removes his facial gear and his face looks completely healed.  Davis says that he’d forgotten the pop that the Stache used to get and thanks the fans for remembering.  He says tonight, he finally gets the match he’s been waiting for…before the whole Ivan situation.  Tonight, he gets Nix Anderson in the ring for a shot at the TV title.  The Wicked Prophet asks him if he’s up to such a task.  Davis says that his feud with Ivan has prepared him for this and thinks that Nix will be in for the fight of his life.

We go back to the ring for our next Elimination Chamber qualifier.  First, out comes Superquake Monroe.  The fans boo as the monster heads down to the ring.  Next, we hear the familiar chime of the ice cream truck and out comes ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  Magnum comes out and the fans pop huge for him. Magnum does his customary handing out the frozen treats to the kids at ringside and then enters the ring to stand toe to toe with Superquake.  The bell rings shortly thereafter and Magnum controls the match for the first 5 minutes of the match but after Superquake pulled him out of the ring and powerslammed him on the floor, things began to go Ferguson’s way.  Superquake kept the pressure on and it looked like Magnum was making a comeback but then Superquake dropped him with a big foot to the face.  Magnum gets whipped to the ropes where he catches the giant with a bomb pop (dropkick).  He then hurled Ferguson into the corner and hit him with the Ice Cream Sandwich (splash).   Just then, the Banker came out and Magnum got distracted.  The Banker began yelling at Magnum who was about to head out of the ring but Superquake grabbed Kone and hit the Cutting Edge.  Ferguson hooked the leg getting the 1-2-3.  The Banker is outside the ring laughing.  It looks like Magnum will be going to the chamber.  (14 min)

We head backstage again with the Wicked Prophet and he is with Drew the Canadian Love Machine and Texas Wildfire.  Drew says that there is still bad blood between him and Jacques Beannot after Jacques turned on him and taking the coveted US title and renaming it insulting the country that pays his bills.  Drew promises that there is no way Jacques will get a win.  The Prophet then turns to TW who says that he’s honored to have been picked to fight for a title shot.  Texas Wildfire says he’s in great company with Drew and his former tag team partner Sonic Blade and is confident the fans will be satisfied with whomever wins (he puts his hand to the side of his mouth and says “it won’t be Jacques”.)  He adds that tonight, he challenges Jesse California for his spot in the top 10.  He promises to give it his best.  TW leaves to head to the ring and Drew shouts behind him “Good Luck”.

Our next match begins with Texas Wildfire coming out to a huge pop from the crowd.  He rushes down to the ring and slides in under the bottom rope.  He starts to psyche up the crowd but the music and atmosphere sour when Jesse California comes out.  Jesse gets in the ring pushes TW out of the way and begins to jaw jack with the fans.  The match begins and Wildfire takes control early but Jesse lies, cheats and steals control of the match.  During the match, we saw quite a few reversals of moves.  TW goes for a snap powerslam but Jesse reverses it going for the California Spirit but Texas Wildfire nullified it.  A few minutes later, Jesse goes for a standing dropkick but TW reverses it going for a standing armbar but that too gets reversed and Jesse drops TW with a shoulder jawbreaker.  After some more back and forth, Jesse goes for the Famouser Leg drop bulldog but Texas Wildfire fires back hitting a Hangman’s Clothesline.  TW goes for the pin and gets the 3 count.  Texas Wildfire moves into the top 10.  (12 min)

Wicked Prophet is taking a break but it’s interrupted by TV Champion Nix Anderson.   Nix complains that he was standing in the interview area waiting for the Prophet who thought it was more important to eat a slice of pizza then interview a champion.  Nix says that he’s the longest reigning TV Champion in some time and deserves better than the schmuck standing in front of him now.  Nix walks off.  The Wicked Prophet looks after him and then mutters “I hope Davis kicks your ass.”

It’s time for our main event.  First, Davis ‘the Hoff’ Hoffmeister comes out to a thunderous pop from the crowd.  He makes his way into the ring and climbs each of the turnbuckles getting the crowd more and more pumped.  It comes to a screeching halt when TV Champion Nix Anderson comes out and is followed by his manager ‘The Singapore Sensation’ Matt Preacher.   The duo are booed pretty heavily and Nix sneers as they head down to the ring.  Once in the ring, Nix walks right up to Davis and holds his title in Davis’ face.  Davis snatches it out of Nix’s hand much to the champ’s surprise.  Nix grabs his title back and then takes a swing at Davis but Davis steps back and all he feels is the swoosh of a passing swing.  Davis snickers and that infuriates the champ.  The bell rings and we’re off to the races.  For about 7 minutes, Nix held the pace of the match in his hand.  Then, while he was gloating, Preacher got involved and almost cost Nix the match.  Davis rolled out of the ring and went after Preacher.  Nix followed him.  Preacher, fearing that Davis was going to put hands on him grabbed a chair and charged, swinging.  Davis moved out of the way at the last second and Preacher hit Nix with the chair stunning him.  Davis rolled Nix back in the ring and then hit a piledriver.  He made the cover and got the 1-2-3.  Davis Hoffmeister gets the win and becomes the NEW TV Champion!!!  He is handed the belt and he holds it high much to the delight of the crowd.  He leaves as the fans pop.  Back in the ring, Matt Preacher tries to explain to Nix what happened but Anderson didn’t seem to want to hear it.   Preacher grabbed Nix by the arm but Nix turned and slugged Preacher who fell on his ass.  The crowd popped as Nix walked off leaving Matt Preacher rubbing his jaw. 

With that, the show comes to an end.  There sure is to be fallout so stay tuned.

HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #722 – Phoenix Heat

Hello fans and welcome to another installment of HCW’s Phoenix Heat.  The show kicks off backstage with GM Master Bull talking on the phone.  He hits “play” on the VCR (yep, he’s pretty antiquated) and watches as Apollo Gyze, in his first match on the Tacoma roster, loses and will be going to the Elimination Chamber.  Master Bull laughs and says “Hey Apollo, don’t let your dress get caught in the door on your way out. HA HA.”  He is then interrupted by manager Ant Graham.  Graham says that he has a message from Dr. Red Fang for that interfering Leon Teremoto.  Graham says that Leon got involved in something that didn’t concern him and now he’s drawn the attention of the good doctor.  Master Bull asks him if he’s done and Graham says that he’s only begun to rant.  Master Bull stands up and puts his arm around Ant.  “You see, you’re not in charge; I am.  No one here wants to hear your rant to why don’t you take some time and chill.”  Graham harrumphed and walked off.

Pyro goes off and our first match of the night is ready to go.  The Banker comes out first with his manager Ruth Heartless and they are booed as they walk down to the ring.  The Banker gets on the mic and immediately tells the fans that they are going to witness a repossession tonight.  The Banker says he is going to take ‘Top Gun’ Justin Winger’s career and flush it right down the toilet.  He is interrupted by Winger’s music and he comes out to a pop from the crowd.  He makes his way to the ring and gets in immediately.  These two are not strangers and even though their feud is mostly behind them, there is still some bad blood.  The Banker took control early on but Winger would battle back and take the fight right to his opponent even managing to nullify interference from Ruth.  The longer the two battled, the more even the match became.  19 minutes in, the Banker goes for a Credit Check chop but Winger nullifies it.  Ruth gets up on the ring apron one final time verbally antagonizing Winger.  The ref went to admonish her and while that was going on, ‘The King of Cones’ Magnum Kone came out and the Banker began to flip out.  The Banker went up to the ref to inform him of Magnum’s appearance but then Winger caught him with a flying dropkick.  Winger made the quick cover and with a hook of the leg, got the 1-2-3.  ‘Top Gun’ gets the win and the fans pop.  Winger leaves while the Banker was complaining to the ref.  Magnum then climbed into the ring and the Banker took off like a scalded dog; over the ringside barrier and right thru the crowd.  The fans popped for Magnum as he stood watching the Banker run away.  Eventually he left.  (20 min)

We cut backstage and the Wicked Prophet is back.  He is with Tommy Lightning.  Tommy says that everyone in Phoenix is breathing a sigh of relief now that Apollo Gyze is gone.  Tommy says that he will take on Otto Ruthless tonight and like his name implies, he is pretty tough but lightning will strike tonight and Tommy says he’s walking out victorious.

Our next match is a challenge for a top 10 spot.  First, the lights go dark and we hear the creaking of a rocking chair and then a single light illuminates the stage.  Wilber Townsend is sitting in his rocking chair humming the tune “He’s got the whole world in his hands”.  He gets up and makes his way to the ring.  He gets in and takes a mic. 

“Save us, Biceps. Save us, Biceps! He's got the whole world in his hands. He's got the whole wide world in his hands. He's got the whole world in his hands. He's got the whole world in his hands. Save yourself, Bannerman.”

The music changes and out comes Biceps Bannerman to a nice pop from the crowd.  He makes his way down to the ring and climbs in over the top rope.  This guy is frickin’ huge.  He walks up to Wilber and flexes one muscle and dang, if that thing isn’t almost as big as Wilber’s head.  Wilber begins to cackle.  The bell rings and Wilber immediately attacks him. Wilber controls the match and when it seemed like Biceps was making a comeback, Wilber hurled him into the ref and the ref went down.  Wilber then went to the outside of the ring, grabbed the ringside bell and then slid back in.  He hit Biceps with it but Bannerman no-sold it.  Wilber looked concerned.  He hit Biceps in the chest with it and Bannerman just stood there.  Wilber tried it a third time but Biceps grabbed it.  Wilber then kicked Bannerman in the nether region and then hit him in the head with the bell.  Bannerman goes down.  Wilber discarded the bell and as the ref was getting back up, Wilber hit the Go to Sleep.  He made the cover but Bannerman kicked out at 2.  Wilber picked Bannerman up and hit a short arm clothesline.  This time he hooked both legs and got one of his on the ropes for leverage.  The ref didn’t see it and counted to 3.  Wilber Townsend gets the win and enters the World title picture.  (13 min)

We go backstage again and the Wicked Prophet is with the Steel Curtain – Buzz and Starbuck Steel.  WP says that the Curtain are actually in singles action tonight.  Buzz tells him that it doesn’t matter if they are in singles or tag action, the Curtain will dominate.  Starbuck leans in and says “Word.  But let me say something else.  We are multi-champions.  We’ve held the 6 Man titles, Tag Team and both of us have been the World Champion.  We are in a premier class of talent here in HCW”.  Buzz chimes in “You said it my brother.  Tonight, our opponents won’t know what hit them.”  The Curtain then walk off.  The Wicked Prophet says “What a couple of nice guys”. 

We head back to the ring for our next match.  First, Otto Ruthless makes his way out and he is booed all the way to the ring.  He flips off the fans which only riles them up all the more.  Next, Tommy Lighting comes out and the fans pop for him.  He high-fives the fans as he makes his way to ringside.  He climbs into the ring.  For 5 minutes, he and Otto go toe to toe but then something blares over the loudspeakers…”Apollo Gyze don’t apologize” and Tommy is confused as Apollo is not on the roster.  He watches the ramp but no one comes out.  Otto then clips him at the knee and then pulls him into the center of the ring.  He locks in the Yukon Cloverleaf and Tommy almost immediately taps out.  Otto steals a win.  He laughs as he makes his way to the back.  I wonder if that was something Otto had planned.  Hmm…(6 min)

The Wicked Prophet is backstage eating a pastry when he is approached by the World Champion King Rad Gumbo.

RG:  Missed you at the last show there Prophet.

WP:  Sorry your lordship.  I was given a day off and decided to capitalize on it.

RG:  I take it you saw the match with that ice cream vendor Magnum Kone.

WP:  I did your highness.

RG:  I’ll give you this.  He still didn’t match up to me but it was an interesting pick up you came up with. In fact, I want you to pick two wrestlers.  The two of them can fight it out with the winner getting a title shot at me.

WP:  It’s an honor your highness.

RG:  Let the GM’s know who you picked.  I’m interested to see what you come up with.

WP:  Sir, if I may be so bold, could I make a recommendation?  I would actually like to propose a fatal four way.  Four men get to slug it out with the winner getting a title shot.

RG:  That is a great idea.  Here’s what we’ll do.  I still want you to pick two people, Master Bull can pick one and GM Max McGillicutty can pick the other.  I’d like the match to take place next week here in Phoenix so make sure everyone gets their picks in.

WP:  Will do.  Thank you again your Lordship.

RG:   Keep spreading the good word, Prophet.

We head back to the ring as our next match is raring to go.  First, the crowd pops huge as the familiar music of Buzz Steel hits.  Buzz is so over with the crowd it’s crazy.  He gets to the ring and climbs in.  He pumps his fist in the air as he climbs the turnbuckles.  He then does something very un-Buzz like…He does a backflip into the ring landing on his feet.  The fans pop huge.  That is an astonishing feat for someone of Buzz’s size.  The music changes and out comes Tobias Snake.  Tobias has done his best to stay out of the feud between his brothers.   The fans boo him only because they like Buzz so much.  Tobias and Buzz went toe to toe for the entire match and if this were graded by judges, they’d be within a point of each other.  Both men tried to hit some power moves but the other gave as good as they got.  At the 13 minute mark, Tobias hits a snap DDT.  Instead of going for a pin, he picked Buzz up and then Buzz hit a Buzzkill out of nowhere.  Buzz made the cover with a hook of the leg and got the 3 count.  Buzz Steel gets the win much to the delight of the fans.  (13 min)

Master Bull is in his office and he’s not happy that the talent are once again becoming matchmakers.  Bull calls GM Max McGillicutty and puts him on speaker.  The Wicked Prophet walks in after knocking.  “You wanted to see me sir?”  “Sit down please” Master Bull said.  “I have Max on speaker.  We’ve spoken  about this once before.  You are an interviewer, not a match maker.”  “With all due respect to you both, his Lordship the World Champion has asked me for my input and I want to honor his wishes” Prophet said.  Max chimed in over the phone “So, we’re going to put you on the spot right now.  Who are the two people you want in the Fatal Four Way?”  Prophet tapped his finger on his chin.  “Got it.  I choose the ITF Champion Jacques Beannot and Drew the Canadian Love Machine.”  Bull nods his head.  “I already have mine picked out.  I want Sonic Blade.”  Max chimes in again.  “I have mine also.  I want Texas Wildfire.”  Max says he’ll announce it to his 3 guys on Sunday.  Bull says he’ll let Sonic know the good news.  They end the call and Bull dismisses the Prophet.

Our next match is ready to go.  Niven Snake makes his way out first and the fans pretty much boo him.  No time is wasted and Starbuck Steel makes his way out and the fans pop for him.  The match begins pretty quickly and it’s Starbuck who controls the pace of the match.  Starbuck would go for multiple pin attempts but Niven kept kicking out.  At one point, Niven went for a drive by apron dropkick but Starbuck reversed it going for a small packing (hooking the tights) but that was reversed and Niven dropped him with a leaping clothesline.   Starbuck regained control bouncing Niven’s head off all 4 corner turnbuckles.  Niven would plant Starbuck with a deadlift powerbomb but Starbuck caught him with the out of this world dropkick.  He made the cover and this time got the 1-2-3.  Starbuck Steel gets the win and the fans couldn’t be happier.  Starbuck heads to the back.  Niven followed shortly thereafter.  (11 min)

The Wicked Prophet is backstage with the challenger to the Ladies title Kimberly Kiccsass.  Kimberly says that she’s not going to stand here spouting a lot of promises.  She says she’s kicking ass and taking home gold tonight.  She walks off.

The Prophet is then joined by the Ladies champion Ravishing Raquel and her manager the Ambassador.  When he asked Raquel what she thought about what Kimberly just said, the Ambassador yelled at him to stop asking stupid questions.  Raquel says that Kimberly is one of the best in HCW but she does not hold a candle to her and will prove it NOW.  Raquel and the Ambassador walk off.

It is time for our main event.  First, the challenger Kimberly Kiccsass comes out and the fans give her a small pop.  Next, the Ladies Champion Ravishing Raquel comes out with her manager.  The fans are mixed as they like her but cannot stand her jerk of a manager.  He accompanies her because he manages Elitism which Raquel is part of with the tag team champions who just so happen to be her husband ‘the Elitist’ Reid Rothchild and his brother Roderick.  Kimberly is pacing in the ring ready for this to begin.  The bell rings and Kimberly hits a Toronto slam.  Raquel comes back with a power full nelson.  Kimberly hits a top rope leg drop but the champ hits the Simply Ravishing.  Raquel goes for the pin and gets a 2 count.   Kimberly hits a Toronto Slam and then hurls Raquel into the corner.  She charges but Raquel moves.  Kimberly hits the turnbuckle shoulder first at a pretty good clip.  She grabs her arm in pain.  Raquel grabs the arm and immediately locks in the Ravishing Chickenwing.  Kimberly tried to make it to the ropes but no avail so she tapped out.  Raquel lets go immediately and has her arm raised as the winner of the match.  The Ambassador joins her in the ring and takes the belt from the ref and puts it around Raquel’s waist.  The show comes to an end with Raquel standing tall in the ring with the Ambassador pointing and nodding at the champ. HCW Wrestling Newsletter 2018 #721 – Tacoma Thunder

Hello fans and welcome back to another installment of HCW’s Tacoma Thunder.  The show wasted no time in getting started but everything began backstage. 

Slamming the door open from the outside, in walked Apollo Gyze.  He is instantly greeted by GM Max McGillicutty.  Max tells Apollo that he’s getting a second shot here in HCW and really needs to watch himself.  Apollo looks Max in the eye and says “Apollo Gyze don’t apologize so do your worst.”  Max says that tonight, he needed to fill one final match and says that Apollo makes his debut as part of the Tacoma roster.  Apollo slaps his hands together and says “Finally” but begins to walk off.  Max stops him and says “Hang on one sec.  It’s not going to be a typical match.  This one will be a qualifier for the Elimination Chamber and I guess we’ll see what you’ve got and if you can hold off any attempts to not make you go to the chamber.  If you do, great but if not, just like the others in there, careers will be on the line and it’s very possible you can be done before you even get started.”  Max walks off and Apollo stands there stewing.

Pyro goes off and we head to the ring for our first match of the evening.  Over the loudspeakers, we hear blaring “I’ve got some bad news for ya” and out comes ‘Bad News’ Marvin Barnes. The fans boo as he makes his way down to the ring.  He flips off the fans and becomes more irate when the music changes and out comes Scooter J.  The fans pop for him but are still a little leery of him based on how he’s treated them in the past. He gets in the ring and Marvin tries to attack him but SJ immediately hurls him out of the ring.  The bell rings and eventually Marvin makes it back in only to be destroyed by SJ.  Scooter J held the lead for a solid 10 minutes but then Marvin hit a low blow and began making a comeback.  The comeback was short lived as Scooter J took over control of the match and then dominated.  The end finally came after SJ called for and hit a piledriver.  He made the cover getting the easy 3 count.  Scooter J gets the win and the fans applaud him appropriately.  He shakes hands with a few of the fans as he makes his way to the back.  (24 min)

Backstage, we’re actually with interviewer Clarkus Kentus (the Wicked Prophet took the day off after all the traveling) and he’s talking to Leon Teremoto.  Leon talks about how he prevented Dr. Red Fang from inflicting any more damage to the Unknown Assassin (not sure why he cares and both of them are hated equally).  When asked by Clarkus if he really thought it was a good idea to get in between the two, Leon begins to respond but is cut off when Dr. Red Fang rushes in and attacks him.  The beatdown is stopped almost after it began by security who ended up herding Fang out of there.  Leon says he’s ok and that Fang needs to be stopped.

Our next match is ready to begin and is our first Elimination Chamber Qualifier.  The loudspeakers scream once again with “Apollo Gyze don’t apologize” echoes throughout the building.  Apollo makes his way down and the fans boo him.  He threatens to hit a couple of them but shows restraint.  Next, the Axe comes out and the fans pop huge for him.  He high fives the fans as he makes his way to the ring.  He gets into the ring and as soon as the bell rings, Apollo charged but the Axe locked him in a headlock and dragged him around the ring.  The Axe controlled the first half of the match but then Apollo started to make a comeback.  14 minutes in, Apollo hits a spin out powerbomb and goes for a pin but picks up the Axe after a two count.  The ref begins to yell and chastise Apollo.  Apollo reared back like he was going to punch the ref but the blow was blocked and the Axe hits a belly to belly suplex.  Axe made the cover and the ref counted (maybe a little fast?) 1-2-3. The Axe gets the win and the fans pop huge.  It looks like Apollo is going to the Chamber and he doesn’t look all that thrilled about it.  Apollo leaves first and the Axe follows shortly thereafter.  (15 min)

Clarkus Kentus is with Hayley Hailstone and she says that she’s happy to be getting a match tonight.  In walks Betsy Cummings who begins making fun of Hayley’s height.  Hayley asks Betsy if she judges her by her size.  If she does, it will be a huge mistake as a hailstone may be small in size but can pack a wallop. 

The next match is ready to go. Betsy Cummings comes out first to booing from the crowd.  She gets into the ring and mocks the fans getting them riled up.  Next, the music changes and out comes Hayley Hailstone.  The fans pop for her as she makes her way down to the ring.  She slides under the bottom rope but Betsy is there to begin putting the boots to Hayley.  Hayley immediately battled back and controlled the pace for the next 12 minutes.  All of a sudden, Betsy leaves the ring and disappears for a moment. Hang on, that’s Felicia, her twin, switching places and sliding into the ring.  Felicia then begins to take the fight to Hayley.   After being tossed out of the ring, Felicia and Betsy make the switch again (the ref really needs some new glasses) and Betsy immediately hits a sitout powerbomb.  She makes the cover, grabs a handful of tights and with the leverage provided by her sister on the outside, Betsy gets the 1-2-3.  Betsy immediately bails out of the ring and is joined by Felicia who stand there making fun of Hayley.  Their celebration is cut short when out comes Ruby Rose who begins peppering the twins with lefts and rights.  She chased the duo back into the ring.  Hayley grabbed Betsy and planted her with the “What the Hail” while Ruby hit Felicia with the “Red Wedding Facebuster”.  The twins then bailed and looked at Ruby and Hayley with disgust.  Hayley may have gotten the loss but she was standing tall now.  Ruby shook her hand and the two left. 

We go backstage again with Clarkus and this time he’s with the World Champion King Rad Gumbo.  Gumbo immediately asks where the Wicked Prophet is and Clarkus tells him he had the day off.  Gumbo was not happy and told Carkus to just stand there and hold the mic.  King Rad says that the Wicked Prophet picked his opponent and tonight, he defends the World title against Magnum Kone.  Rad snorts in derision and says that Kone would not have been his choice “Actually no one on the roster is really all that deserving” but says he will live with the decision anyway.  Gumbo looks at the camera and tells Magnum to leave the ice cream behind and get serious or this will just be another ass beating like the one he gave Kone in the Fry’s Electronic store.  Gumbo walks off.

We go back to the ring for our next match.  First, Bishop Ripley makes his way out to a mixed reaction from the crowd.  Next, the music changes and perhaps the most popular man in all of HCW Drew the Canadian Love Machine comes out and the fans blow the roof off (editor’s note:  Texas Wildfire, Davis Hoffmeister and the Steel Curtain are all up there too).  Drew comes out and high fives the fans as he makes his way to the ring. He stops before entering the ring and then makes a lap around the ring high fiving the fans along the way.  He makes his way to the steps and enters the ring.  The match begins and for 13 minutes, Drew kept the upper hand.  After missing a La Casita, Bishop hit a chest burst smash for a near fall.  Bishop then began a run but a few minutes later, Drew regained control but it was in the final moments of the match.   Drew hit a bodyslam but Bishop connected with a Tiger Suplex.   Drew then hit the La Casita but Bishop hit a series of german suplexes.  The bell then rang before anyone could go for a pin.  This one ends up as a time limit draw.  The two looked like they could continue but ended up calming down.  Eventually the two ended up in the middle of the ring and shook hands.   The fans popped as the duo left the ring separately.  (20 min draw)

Ruby Rose is backstage and says that the Cummings twins keep doing the switcheroo and she’s had it with the shenanigans.  Ruby says that if they try it again, she’ll make sure one of them doesn’t get back up.

We head to the ring for our next Elimination Chamber Qualifier.  First, the British Crippler comes out and the fans boo.  She doesn’t seem to care and paces around the ring waiting.  Next, music hits and out comes Ruby Rose.  The fans pop for her as she makes her way out.  The match begins but almost immediately, the Cummings twins make their way out and go sit at commentary.  The distraction was just enough to give the British Crippler the early advantage but Ruby fought back.  Ruby connected with a pendulum backbreaker but the Crippler hit a snap suplex.  Ruby then locked the Crippler in a modified boston crab but she made it to the ropes to break the hold.  Ruby followed it up with a Russian legsweep but then Felicia jumped up on the apron causing a distraction.  Betsy then slid under the rope and hit Ruby in the back with a steel chair.  She then left the ring.  The British Crippler locked in a sharpshooter.  Felicia left the ring and the ref went to check on Ruby who had no choice but to tap out.  The British Crippler gets the (questionable) win and Ruby is going on to the Chamber.  The twins got in the ring and while Betsy held Ruby, Felicia slapped her across the face.  The two then stood over her until Hayley Hailstone and Violet Valkyrie came out for the save.  The twins then took off laughing.  (3 min for the match; 5 for the aftermath)

 Clarkus is backstage with ‘the King of Cones’ Magnum Kone.  Magnum says that everything he put up with from Gumbo and the Battle at Fry’s to taking on the Covfefe personae under the tutiledge of Ant Graham and now back to normal is daunting for anyone but he made it through it all to get to here…right now.  He promises Gumbo he’ll be in for the fight of his career and with the fans behind him, there is nothing preventing him from becoming the World Champion tonight.

It’s time for our main event.  Magnum Kone comes out first to a huge pop from the crowd.  He’s not pushing an ice cream cart but is carrying a portable bag with some treats.  He goes to ringside and hands out what he has to the youngest kids in the audience.  He then climbs into the ring.  A moment later, the music changes and out comes Queen Alexandria.  She stops and point upwards and then we hear “Gumbo 7:30 says its suppa time, bitch” and out comes the World Champion the Ragin Cajun King Rad Gumbo.  The fans boo him but he sneers at them without any cares.  He gets into the ring and immediately goes face to face with Kone.  After the ref separates them, Gumbo goes to remove his cape and crown but leaves his title on.  He climbs the second turnbuckle and poses as the crowd continues to boo.  He jumps down, removes his title and hands it to the ref who first shows it to Kone and then holds it high for all to see.  The ref then announces that a slight change has been made and now this will be a no DQ/CO match.  The bell rings.   Kone took early advantage of the match but eventually the King began to make a comeback.  With some “guidance” from the Queen, things began to go the champs’ way.  Just then, the Banker made his way down.  He went to commentary where he blasted everyone saying that he should be the one getting the title match and not the king of Clowns.  The Banker watched with a sneer on his face and then yelled he’d had enough and grabbed a chair and slid into the ring and began hitting Magnum with it.  He hit him a few times until the chair dented and then he threw it out in disgust and left.  Gumbo watched with amusement and then pulled Kone into the middle of the ring and locked in the New Orleans Crab.  Kone, in immense pain, held out as long as he could but ended up tapping out.  King Rag Gumbo gets the win and retains his title.  Magnum Kone is helped to the back and the show comes to an end with Queen Alexandria joining Gumbo in the ring with the World title as the fans boo.
