HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 04.06 – Wrestlemania Day 4

Hello Fans and welcome to our 4th and final day of our Wrestlemania PPV.  The pyro goes off and out comes announcers Marvelous Marc and Dangerous Derek.  They make their way to ringside.  A short montage plays of the Ultimate Warrior with photos from his days as Bladerunner Rock to the Dingo Warrior in WCCW and finally, his true calling as the Ultimate Warrior.  The fans chanted “Thank you Warrior” (clap, clap, clap clap clap).

Marc: Another great tribute to a man that left us too soon.

Derek:  I totally agree but he died as he lived.  And he will never be forgotten.

Marc:  That is for sure.

Derek:  I’m being told that Master Bull is on his way out.

Master Bull comes out and heads to the ring.  “Welcome everyone to Wrestlemania Day 4.  We have had a hell of an event these last 3 days.  Today will be no different except today, we will finally see who will be the GM for the HWF and CSWA…either myself or this man…”  ‘Voodoo Child’ blares and out comes the Immortal Hulk Hogan.  He makes his way to the ring.  “Brother, brother, brother…Hulk is in the HOOOOOUSE.   Bull is right.  We have a great lineup today and at least one thing will be determined tonight and that is one of us will be the one and only GM.”  Master Bull interjects “Team Hogan vs Team Master Bull…one winner and one old, balding has-been with a bad hip.”  Hogan is shocked “You’re not balding; a little grey but I’d say you still have hair on your head.”  Everyone gets a good laugh at that.  Hogan continues “You know, let’s get out of this ring and hand the show back over to our guest announcers.  Guys, take it away.”  Hogan and Master Bull leave the ring.

Marc:  We’re ready to get this show underway.

Derek:  Let’s get this party started.

Match #1:  The show starts off with a 6-man match with Jack Swagger, the Miz and Rockstar Spud taking on the team of Kazarian, Tensai and Wade Barrett.  In 12 minutes, Kazarian nails Spud with a spin kick and makes the cover to get the win for his team.

Derek:  Kazarian is the bomb.  He just wiped the mat with Spud.

Marc:  That he did.  It looks like our next match is going to be the Women’s Battle Royal.  If I understand it correctly, the winner of this event will get a shot at either the Diva’s title or the Women’s title.  Their choice.

Derek:  Here come the gorgeous ladies…one and all.

Match #2:  14 competitors including both the Women’s and Diva’s champions participated in this event.  Interesting to note that Raquel eliminated Fusion Valentine and Raquel was in turn eliminated by Cactus Jackie, Gail Kim and ODB both eliminated each other.  The final two participants were Alicia Fox and Layla El.  In the end, former champion Layla El walks out victorious.  Dangerous Derek hops to the ring to interview her.

Derek:  Layla, you are the winner of the battle royal.  Do you know who you want to go after?

Layla:  You know, I’d like to say that witch who robbed me of my title the first time around Ravishing Raquel but instead, want to go after the placemat holding my title.  Gail Kim, that belt will be mine again.  I promise you that.

Marc:  It’s official.  Layla has challenged Gail Kim for the Women’s title.  And now, back to the action.

Match #3:  Our next 6 man match is next.  First batch of participants are Jay Lethal, Big E and Eric Young.  Next out comes Christopher Daniels and King Mo.  Someone is missing.  Master Bull comes out and announces a surprise entrant into this event.  It is a new hire by the name of Bo Dallas.  This is Bo’s first match in the big leagues.  In 16 minutes, King Mo gets the pin on Eric Young after EY was pinned by a modified klingman anklelock.

Derek: The newcomer Bo Dallas gets himself some good in-ring time.

Marc:  Aligning himself with King Mo and the Fallen Angel didn’t hurt either.

Derek:  You got that right.  As we move on to the fourth match of the night, this is one that everyone’s been waiting for.  World Champion vs Word Champion – representing the HWF is Brock Lesnar and representing the CSWA is the Undertaker.  One man walks out with both titles and then goes on to meet Kane for the Undisputed champion.

Marc:  If memory serves, the last man to hold all three titles at once was Chris Benoit.  Mohammed Hassan also did.

Derek:  I believe you are right but it’s been a long time..I may have to Google ™ it.

Marc:  Ha ha.

Match #4:  The Beast Brock Lesnar comes out first and is pacing in the ring waiting for his opponent.  The lights go dim and blue and out comes the Undertaker with a bunch of his druids.  He makes the slow procession to the ring.  Brock is pacing like a caged animal.  Undertaker gets in the ring and raises his arms and the lights go up.

Hulk Hogan comes out.  “One moment there brother.  There is way too much riding on this match so we are making this a 60 minute no DQ match.  We want a winner so make this good.”  He then leaves so the match can begin.

Marc:  Holy Crap!  Undertaker has just beaten the Beast.

Derek:  The unthinkable just happened.  The deadman has defeated the monster.

Marc:  I can’t believe it.

Derek:  Seeing is believing and I believe in the Undertaker.

Marc:  Hot damn.  I guess we’re ready for our next match.

Derek:  Yep, Team Master Bull vs Team Hogan.  This match will be one of three that will determine who the new GM is going to be.

Hulk Hogan comes out.  “To all my Hulkamaniacs in the building:  Team Hogan will bring home a victory.  I am proud to announce my team.  First, I have Mark Henry.”  Henry comes out, shakes Hogan’s hand and then heads to the ring.  “Next, I have Hernandez.”  Hernandez follows suit.  “Third, I have Abyss.”  Abyss stares at Hogan and then heads to the ring.  “And for my two final teammates.  Hulkamanics around the world….I give you…The PICK and the AXE.”  Dirk Devon and the Axe come out.  They shake Hogan’s hand and head to the ring.

Derek:  Damn, I though Bull suspended the Axe.

Marc:  Nope, I guess Hogan gave him a reprieve.

Master Bull then comes out.  “Well Hogan, I see you brought back the Axe.  That’s fine.  For you see, I have a surprise of my own.  First, I have Ken Anderson, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and Dolph Ziggler.”  All four men come out and shake Bull’s hand and head to the ring.  “My final participants in tonight’s action is returning from a long absence.  He is a former World Champion.  I give you….Rob Van Dam.”  Van Dam’s music hits and the fans pop big time.  Hogan is irate.

Marc:  The Return of Mr. Monday Night Rob Van Dam.

Derek:  But it’s not Monday, it’s Sunday.

Marc:  Nevertheless, RVD is back in the house and I’m sure Team Bull is ready.

Derek:  I sure hope so.  Not sure what will happen if Hogan takes over.  Just remember WCW.

Match #5 begins with all 10 men brawling in the ring.  The ref finally restores order.  This is done Survivor Series style meaning it is an elimination match.  First eliminated is Hernandez by Ken Anderson.  Immediately after that, Anderson is eliminated by the Pick.  Next out is R-Truth by Abyss.  Abyss is then eliminated by RVD.  RVD then eliminates Mark Henry. The Axe comes in and eliminates Dolph Ziggler.  Pick and the Axe then team up to eliminate RVD.  Kofi is in quickly and eliminates the Pick.  That leaves Kofi vs the Axe.  Kofi goes to the top rope and does a leap and the Axe catches him with a superkick.  Axe makes the cover and 3 seconds later, secures the win for Team Hogan.

Derek:  Oh my.

Marc:  I’m at a loss for words.  Hogan has just guaranteed himself 50% of the managerial rights.  If he correctly picked the other two…

Derek:  We could see a changing of the guard…for sure.

Marc:  We’re on to our next match and that is Team Respect taking on the A-Team.  With the untimely passing of the Ultimate Warrior, that left a vacancy on Page’s team.  I hope he found someone good to take his place.

Match #6 begins with the A-Team making their way to ringside.  “Hey Page, I sure hope you found someone to team with you.   I would hate for the 3 of us to pick you apart.”  DDP comes out.  “You know something you snot-nosed brat, I do have 2 great partners that I know I can rely on.  First, the man who wanted another shot at Wrestlemania, my good friend….Jake “the snake” Roberts.”  Jake comes out to a huge pop and he had Damian (his snake) with him.  Jake stands with him on the stage.  “Now, for my next partner.  If you’ve  been around, you’ve seen him but he’s been on a hiatus.  It is my pleasure to welcome back none other than ….The SUPER WARRIOR!   Super Warrior comes out wearing an Ultimate Warrior shirt and waving an Ultimate Warrior flag (in case you forgot, he was UW’s number one fan).  SW points to the heavens and looks up; honoring his mentor.  Team Respect is now complete.  They head to the ring.  The lights dim as the Ultimate Warrior’s picture shows again.

The match begins with Jake attacking Austin Aries.  He throws him to the ropes and delivers a quick kick to the gut.  He goes for a DDT but Aries sneaks out.  Jake makes the tag to the Super Warrior.  Aries tags in Alberto Del Rio.  A voice blares through the speakers and an image is shown on the Omegatron.  “Oh Jake, are you missing something?” the voice says.  The person is holding the bag with Damian in it.  Page tells him to go get his snake.  Jake takes off for the back.  In the ring, Super Warrior and Del Rio are going at it.  SW blinds Alberto with his Dingo War Flags but Del Rio hurls SW over the top rope.  He tags in Antonio Cesaro.  Del Rio jumps down from the ring and continues his assault on SW.  The two end up brawling to the back.  Page is on his own.  Cesaro and Aries double team Page until Aries eats a Diamond Cutter.  He rolls out of the ring and falls to the ground.  Cesaro goes on the offensive and nails a Cradle facebuster.  He puts his feet on the ropes and the ref (who never sees it) counts 1…2….3.  The A-Team has just defeated Team Respect.  Page is understandably upset as his two teammates abandoned him.  I’m sure he’ll have words for them later.

Match #7 is for the World Tag Team Championships.  The champs Prestige Inc (King Damian Sandow and Magnus) comes out first.  They are then followed by the challengers VamChango (Senor Vampiro and El Chango).

Marc:  Holy mackerel.  They did it.

Derek:  Senor Vampiro – your former announce partner – is now one half of the World Tag team champions.

Marc:  I may not like their attitude but you have to give it to them.  They are unstoppable.

Derek:  It looks like we are getting ready for the Andre the Giant invitational battle royal.

Marc:  I do believe the cream of the crop are going to be in this one.

Derek:  You’re right. I believe that.  Here are those who are competing in this one, 16 in all:

Rey Mysterio, Batista, Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, Jeff Hardy, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, Bully Ray, Kurt Angle, Ryback, Big Show and Samoa Joe.

Marc:  This will be an action packed match.

Match #8:  Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.  In order of elimination:  AJ Styles, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Ryback, Rey Mysterio, Samoa Joe, Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan, Jack Swagger, Bully Ray, Big Show, Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy and then Batista.  That left former World Champion Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley.  Lesnar has a lot of pent up anger from losing to the Undertaker earlier on.  He tried to take it out on Bobby but Lashley was prepared.  Bobby battled the monster and after hitting a Dominator, gave Brock his second loss of the night.  The winner of the 1st ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is Bobby Lashley.

Derek:  A great win for Bobby Lashley.

Marc:  He sure raised the attention of Brock Lesnar though.  Not sure if that is a good thing.

Derek:  Well, we’re on for our main event.  The man with TWO world titles, The Undertaker, takes on his “brother” the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Kane.  Kane may be relatively fresh but Undertaker is on a roll and I am not sure Kane can stop him.

Match #9:  The Main Event:  Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Kane vs THE World Champion the Undertaker.  This match will be a no time limit, no DQ match.

The Undertaker wins with a THROAT LIFT over Kane!!!  Undertaker has just won the Undisputed Heavyweight Title.  He is our TRIPLE CROWN CHAMPION!

Marc:  The Undertaker did it.  I’m not sure how but he pulled it off.

Derek:  I knew it all along.  The Deadman is just unstoppable.

Marc:  Congratulations to the Undertaker.  Well deserved.

Derek:  Well, all we have left is to see who our GM is going to be going forward.

Marc:  Here comes the lawyer along with Master Bull and Hulk Hogan.

Derek:  Let’s head to the ring.

Derek and Marc join Bull, Hogan and the lawyer in the ring.  The lawyer starts.  “Ok, Hogan, you won the Team competition.  You need to have chosen the winner of the matches the fans voted on.  If you did, you will gain managerial rights to the HWF and CSWA.  If you did not, Master Bull will win it all.”  Master Bull takes over.  “Ok, so the two matches that received the highest amount of votes from the fans were…..Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar and Team Respect vs A-Team.”  Bull was shocked.  The lawyer took the mic “Ok, Hogan, you chose….The Undertaker.”  Hogan points to his head smiling.  “You also chose…A-Team.  Hulk Hogan, you have chosen correctly on the two matches our fans voted for so that means you are the one and ONLY General Manager for the HWF and CSWA.”  ‘Real American’ begins blaring through the loudspeakers.  Hogan remains in the ring posing.  Master Bull and the lawyer both leave.

Marc:  Wow.  Hulk Hogan is now the one and only GM for the CSWA and the HWF.

Derek:  God help us all.

Marc:  Thank you for watching.  For Dangerous Derek, I’m Marvelous Marc and we wish you a pleasant evening.

Derek:  God help us all.

Thanks for reading.  I’m very sure there will be lots of fallout from Wrestlemania so stay tuned

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 – 04.05 – Wrestlemania Day 3

***Before the show begins, Hulk Hogan comes out and invites about 10 kids to the ring who were all dressed as the Ultimate Warrior.  They enter the ring and each take turn shaking the ropes.  A quick look to the Omegatron and a picture of Ultimate Warrior holding his two titles from his win at (the real) Wrestlemania VI is shown.  RIP Warrior is below it.  After about 5 minutes, the kids all take their seats and Hogan heads to the back.***

WRESTLEMANIA DAY 3 IS HERE!!!   Welcome Fans one and all to the greatest show on earth.  The show begins as pyro goes off allowing Day 3’s activities to begin.  As soon as the pyro settles, Master Bull makes his way out.  “Welcome everyone to day 3 of Wrrrrrrrestlemania!  We have a lot lined up for you today.  We have multiple specialty matches taking place and one international with current NJWW Tag team champions the Mexicali Flyers (brief pause while the fans pop) taking on Japan’s own Great Muta and Jushin “Thunder” Liger.  Today’s event will be chock full of title matches so without further ado, let’s get this show on the road.”

We do a quick cut to the back and see Hulk Hogan talking to a female wrestler; we’re not quite sure who it is.

Match #1 begins with the Uso’s (Jimmy and Jey) making their way out accompanied by Samoa Joe.  Music cuts and then out comes the Colon’s (Primo and Epico).  They stop on the ramp to announce the 3rd member of their team.  Over the loudspeaker blares “I spit in the face of people who do not want to be cool.”  Yep, it’s their brother Carlito. He makes his return to the HWF and CSWA’s squared circle.  Staying in character, he refuses to shake anyone’s hand.  The ref for this match is “Frank.”  “Frank” has a reputation for fast counting. Let’s see what he does in this match.

The match goes for 10 minutes and surprisingly is pretty even.  Lots of double teaming kept “Frank” on his toes.  The end comes after Joe, who was talking smack to Carlito, ends up with a face full of apple (one of Carlito’s gimmicks is he spits apple in people’s faces).  Blinded, Joe stumbles into a backstabber from Primo and Frank, true to his name, fast counts giving the win to the Colon’s.  Carlito showboats in the ring and is shocked when Jimmy and Jey take out Primo and Epico leaving Carlito all for Joe.  Carlito is petrified.  “Joe’s gonna kill you” rings through the audience.  Joe blasts Carlito with lefts and rights.  Joe nails a Muscle Buster and then locks in the rear naked choke.  Carlito’s out.  Joe and the Uso’s briefly celebrate before leaving.  Jey and Jimmy pick up their brother and carry/drag him to the back.

Match #2 is Dirk “the Pick” Devon taking on former band member Wam Bam Arsonist.  We see members from the (real) FBI standing on stage.  (We come to find out that the people Rocky Lapetus turned on have “made” him and now he needs to go back into witness protection.  The match begins with Wam and Dirk jawjacking in the ring.  Wam pokes Dirk in the chest.  Dirk pokes back and Wam drops.  Dirk makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Dirk is celebrating in the ring while Wam leaves with his head down.  Dirk gets on the mic “The European champion is here and nothing can stop me.”  Out comes Master Bull.  “So Pick, you think you can get away with this crap?  Think again.  Later tonight, you will be defending that title again.  Be ready.”  Dirk tried to complain but no one would listen.  He eventually left the ring.

Match #3 has Diva’s Champion Fusion Valentine taking on Ravishing Raquel.   Raquel has been waiting a long time for this match.  Raquel begins by locking on an armbar.  Fusion goes to the ropes to break the hold.  Raquel then catches her with a moonsault.  Fusion locks Raquel in a bearhug but then gets tossed out of the ring.  Fusion is back in at 4 but then is immediately sent to the floor again.  This time she waits a bit longer and is back in at 6.  Raquel catches her with another moonsault.  Fusion battles back and hits a Fusion driver (piledriver).  Raquel locks in an armbar  but Fusion powers out and follows it up with the Chilean drop (moonsault).  She goes for a pin only getting the 2 count.  She hits the Fusion driver, the Lovers lock (crossface) and the Heartbreaker (anaconda vice) but Raquel still manages to get out of the moves.  Fusion tosses her out of the ring in frustration but Raquel is quickly back in and locks in the Ravishing Chickenwing.  Fusion is screaming in pain but does not tap out.  Both women pull each other over the top rope but both make in back in by 6.  Raquel applies an ankle lock but Fusion hits the Chilean drop and goes for a pin but only gets 1.  Raquel hits her moonsault and both women are down (resting).  The champ is up first and hits a piledriver and then throws Raquel out of the ring.  Raquel is back in by 7.  Both women continue to throw everything they have at this match.  After a few more unsuccessful pin and submission attempts, both were starting to get frustrated.  At the 24 minute mark, a familiar face comes out from the back…wait, it’s Fusion’s former partner Spider Violet.  Fusion is floored with eyes wide with surprise.  Raquel capitalizes and hits a moonsault.  She then picks up Ms. Valentine and nails a power full nelson.  She rolls her up and the ref counts 1…2….3.  Ravishing Raquel has just regained the Diva’s Championship.  Fusion is challenging the decision saying her shoulders were not on the mat.  Raquel takes her title and makes a beeline for the back where waiting for her is her husband “The Elitist” Reid Rothchild.  They kiss and then go search for privacy.

Spider Violet is still in the ring when Master Bull comes out.  “I see the Spider has returned.  Listen Violet, I was hoping for a clean win but since you stuck your nose in a match, I’ll take that as you want back in the ring so with that said, here’s your opponent.

Match #4 begins with Spider Violet taking on Velvet Sky.  The match goes for 15 minutes with Spider staying toe to toe with her challenger.  The tide changed however at minute 14, Fusion Valentine comes out and walks straight to the ring.  Velvet catches Spider in the octopus stretch and went for a pin.  Spider immediately put her foot on the rope.  Fusion walked over and knocked it off (the ref saw none of this).  Velvet Sky gets the win.  Fusion jumps in the ring and begins brawling with Spider.  Refs come out from the back to break this up.   They continue to fight all the way to the back.

Match #5 is a steel cage match between Titus O’Neil and Darren Young.  These two have had a falling out and they want to settle this here and now.  This one is 100% Titus. Darren barely got in any offense at all.  Titus beat him from pillar to post.  After sandwiching Darren between the cage and ropes, he nails a spinebuster.  He makes the cover getting the 3 count and then proceeds to climb out of the cage.  He makes it all the way with no interference from his former tag team partner.  Titus O’Neil gets the victory in 15 minutes.

There is a brief intermission while the cage is taken down.

Match #6 is a triple threat match for the Elitist Title.  Reid and Cobra are the first two in the ring and these two do not like each other.  In fact, it gets pretty bad that they both grab steel chairs threatening to hit each other with them.  Out comes the champion Bran-Don-Goh and he basically walks into a war.  He moves just as Cobra and Reid are swinging their chairs and they collectively knock out the champ.  I guess this one is now just a one on one match.  They go at it for 16 minutes and the end comes after Cobra nails a double knee facebreaker.  He makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Professor Cobra has just won the Elitist Title.  Bran-Don-Goh is helped to the back and Reid leaves disappointed.

In the back, Bran-Don-Goh was being checked out for a concussion but tests came back negative.  Larry Morton saw B sitting there all dejected.  “I just want to win.”  Up walks the European Champion Dirk “the Pick” Devon and he makes fun of Bran-Don-Goh losing his title in a match he didn’t even participate in.  Master Bull walks over and tells B he is getting one more shot and that is against Dirk for the European title.  Dirk is not happy.  Bull tells him that if he doesn’t like it, he can “take his ball and go home.”  Bull adds in “Oh, this will be a Singapore Cane match.  Have a nice day.”

Match #7 has Bran-Don-Goh (who was actually the #1 contender) taking on Dirk Devon for the European title in a Singapore cane match.  Dirk begins with a Coda Claw hold and B hits a body avalanche.  Not sure why but out comes the new Elitist Champion Professor Cobra.  He is carrying a cane.  He  purposely throws it to Bran-Don-Goh who blasts Dirk with it.  Dirk nails a Fender Five Arm and B hits the Dango Suplex.  B then blasts Dirk with a cane shot to the head and goes for a pin but only gets a 2 count.  Dirk locks in a Tama bearhug and B makes it to the ropes to break the hold.  Dirk hits a hi-hat full nelson and B counters with a ‘said so’ stunner.   Dirk hits the full nelson again but B locks in a stepover toehold facelock.  Dirk does not submit.  Dirk nails a bass body avalanche and then gets tossed out of the ring.  Bran-Don-Goh hits a leapfrog body guillotine and goes for a pin but Dirk kicks out at one.  Dirk is up quickly and hits the Pearl drum drop.  Cobra, still on the outside, throws Bran-Don-Goh another cane.  B blasts Dirk again breaking the cane.  He makes the cover and the ref counts 1….2…..3.  Bran-Don-Goh has just defeated Dirk Devon for the European title.  Professor Cobra and Dirk both leave to let B celebrate in the ring.

We cut to the back where there is commotion.  We see that the NJWW tag team champions are being attacked by two masked men.  The masked men (I’m sure we all know who they are) get a few good shots in before other wrestlers and suits come in to break it up.  Hulk Hogan comes over and asks if they are ok to continue tonight.  Both say yes but I’m sure they are at a disadvantage now.

Match #8 is Bobby Lashley taking on Big Show.  This one was a good solid minutes and the end came after a “Holy Shit” moment when Bobby picked up the Big Show and nailed him with the Dominator.  Bobby gets the win in 15 minutes.

Match #9 is our next specialty match with the returning Rey Mysterio taking on Bully Ray in a Lights Out, Anything goes match.  This match was all Mysterio.  He took out all his aggressions on the Bully. For 21 minutes, the two battled hitting each other will rolls of quarters and even injuring each other.  Rey would not stay down though.  Towards the end, Bully was towering over Rey holding a chair like he was going to send Rey out again.  Rep pops up and nails a 6-1-9 to the chair which met up with Bully’s face.  Rey makes the cover and gets the 1-2-3.  Rey wins this but his celebration is quickly cut off after Hogan comes out and kicks him and Bully out of the ring.

“The Hulkster is in the house BROTHER.  We have had a hell of a show so far and know that our main event will be the icing on the cake.  But first, I want to call out the announce team of Marvelous Marc and Dangerous Derek.”  Both Marc and Derek make their way to their posts at ringside.  Once seated, Hulk continues “You guys have been doing a great job calling the main events so I wanted to let you know that the two of you will be calling ALL the matches tomorrow, BROTHER.  That’s right, the whole f’n show.  You guys have earned it.  Now, with all that said, it is my honor to bring in our International representatives for our main event.  First, you have the ‘Master of the Mist’ Great Muta.”  Muta comes out first and spits mist into the audience.  He makes his way to the ring. “Next, you have his partner, the man, the sound the impact his moves makes sounds like Thunder…Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger.”  Liger comes out and high-fives a few of the fans and then hops in the ring.  “Now…” He is cut off by the music of the Mexicali Flyers and Hogan is pissed off.  He apparently hates being interrupted.  The Flyers make their way out.

Derek:  Damn, they interrupted Hogan.  That’s not going to sit well.

Marc:  I hear ya.  Those two, as great as they are, need to show our GM the respect he commands.

Derek:  You know, I really wonder how the Flyers will stack up against Muta and Liger.  I mean, those two have been around forever and know all the tricks in the book.

Marc: Those Flyers had best be on the top of their game.

Derek:  But how can they after the attack in the back?  There’s no way they’re 100%.

Marc:  They have to be the best to walk out of here with those belts.

Derek:  Let’s get this show underway.

Before the match can begin, Hogan gets on the mic one last time.  “Oh, and by the way, this 60 minute battle is a no DQ/no countout match…BROTHERS.”

The match begins with El Dragon hitting a DDT on Muta.  Muta locks in a reverse chinlock and Dragon tosses him out.  Liger catches Muta and tosses him back in but he is met with a dropkick from El Dragon.  Tornado is tagged in.  He hits a dragonscrew and Muta hits him with a clothesline.  Tornado hits an Insuguiri and Muta locks in a reverse chinlock.  Tornado makes the stretch and tags in Insano.  Muta meets him with a  forearm shot.  Tornado jumps in for double teaming.  El Dragon hits a neckbreaker and Tornado hits an insuguiri.  Muta hits them both with the green mist.  Tornado falls out of the ring while trying to clear his eyes.  El Dragon manages to hit the guerrero stomp and Muta hits him with the Shining Wizard.  He makes the cover but Dragon kicks out at 2.  Muta hits a forearm shot and Dragon hits a flying dropkick.  He then tags to Tornado who manages to keep Muta from making the tag of his own.  Muta blasts him with a forearm shot but Tornado doesn’t let him tag out.  Tornado hits an insuguiri and Muta nails a Mutasault.  He tries for the tag but El Dragon is in and stops the tag.  Muta hits a clothesline but El Dragon hits him with a chair.  He follows it up with a flying dropkick but then eats a forearm shot from Muta.  Tornado is tagged in and eats a clothesline.  Muta jumps and makes the hot tag to Liger.  Liger nails a release german suplex on Tornado.  Tornado get hit by a double chop to the back but turns around and nails the Windy Driver.   He goes for the pin but Muta is in for the save.   He pulls Liger to the corner and makes the hot tag.  Tornado tags out to El Dragon.   Dragon hits the guerrerro stomp and Muta hits the Shining Wizard.   Tornado never sees this.  Muta makes the cover in the middle of the ring and the ref counts 1…2….3.  We have NEW NJWW Tag Team Champions and they are the Great Muta and Jushin “Thunder” Liger.

Marc:  Damn, Muta and Liger still got it.

Derek: And with that, they are the new tag team champions for New Japan World Wrestling.

Marc:  I’m betting that they’ll be taking those belts back to Japan with them.

Derek:  I don’t doubt it.  In fact, I’m surprised NJWW let the Flyers bring them here.

Marc: Glad they did so we would get to see this great match.

Derek: It’s too bad the Flyers weren’t 100% or this could have gone the other way.

Marc: I wonder if Master Bull or Hulk Hogan are going to look into that.

Derek:  Hey, it’s out of our hands.  That’s up to management.

Marc:  With that, Day 3 comes to an end.  For Dangerous Derek, I’m Marvelous Marc saying Good Fight and…

Derek:  Good Night.

Stay tuned as our final card for Wrestlemania will be tomorrow.  Don’t go away.

HWF/CSWA Wrestling Newsletter 2014 –04.04 – Wrestlemania Day 2

***Before the event begins, the lights go dim and there is a 10 bell moment of silence with Ultimate Warrior’s picture on the Omegatron with the words “RIP Warrior” under his picture.***

WRESTLEMANIA DAY 2 is now here!!!  Pyro goes off and the fans blow the roof off.  I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard a louder crowd but this one is on FIRE.  The show begins with Clarkus Kentus coming out to address the crowd. “Welcome one and all to day 2 of WRESTLEMANIA!!!!  We are coming to you Live here in Madison Square Garden.”  The fans pop in a major way.  “The action continues but first, one of our illustrious GM’s: the Immortal Hulk Hogan.”  Hogan comes out to “Voodoo Child” from Jimi Hendrix.  He struts down to the ring.  “The Hulkster is here BROTHER.  Day 2 will blow your socks off.  There is a lot going on so sit back and enjoy the show…BROTHER.”

Match #1 kicks off with Kevin Steen and Roderick Strong vs Ryback and Curtis Axel.  The team nicknamed Rybaxel decimated their opponents.  After 14 minutes, Axel unloads with a flurry of punches and kicks and pins Kevin Steen in the middle of the ring.

Match #2 has Goldust and Cody Rhodes vs Beer Money.  James Storm gets injured in this one and is incapacitated for 5 minutes.  Bobby Roode held his own for sure.  After 10 minutes, Roode catches Cody in a bearhug and lowers him to the mat.  An exhausted Rhodes didn’t have enough to kick out of it and he got pinned.

Match #3 has Great Khali and Mike Bennett vs Brad Maddox and David Otunga.  This one was a slobberknocker with Khali and Bennett killing their opponents.  For 19 minutes, Maddox and Otunga were getting killed until Otunga hurled Bennett out of the ring.  Maddox then hit Bennett with a spear sending him over the ringside barrier and into the front row.  Bennett ends up getting counted out and miraculously Otunga and Maddox score a win.

Match #4 is our first title match with X-Division champion Casey Jones taking on Santino Marella.  This by far is one of the shortest Wrestlemania matches – EVER.  While the ref was checking Casey for foreign objects, he untied the top turnbuckle exposing the metal bracket.  Jones never saw it.  The bell rang and the two circled each other.  Santino charged Casey but Casey tripped him and Santino smashed his head into the exposed bracket and knocked himself out.  The ref counted but Santino did not get up. There was nothing left to do except raise Casey’s hand in victory.

Match #5 is our Women’s tag team match with the Bella Twins taking on the Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Madison Rayne).  This match was even throughout the entire match but neither could get the upper hand.  This one ends up going to a 30 minute draw.  Both teams received applause from the audience but Angelina and Madison refused to shake the Bella’s hands.

Match #6 is for the 6-man World tag team titles with the champions The Shield taking on 3MB (Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre).  The time limit on this one was extended to 45 minutes.  They did not need it as The Shield dominated their challengers.  The Shield performed like a well-oiled machine.  After beating down the challengers for 13 minutes, Dean Ambrose gets the win after hitting Drew McIntyre with a chickenwing facebuster.

Match #7 is for the Women’s Championship.  The champion Gail Kim is taking on newcomer Cactus Jackie.  Jackie appears to be a nervous mess.  Hope she can compose herself when her match starts.  She comes out first to the cheering from the fans.  The champ comes out next to a mixed review.  Jackie extends her hand but Gail refuses to shake.

A very disappointing loss for Cactus Jackie.  She put in her blood, sweat and tears to get here.  The Women’s champion was just too solid.  I think Jackie will be having words with Master Bull about this.

Match #8 is our next title match with IC champion Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton in a rematch for the title.  This match was probably the best of the night so far.  Both men brought their A-Game.  Neither would relent.  There was action for a solid 10 minutes.  All of a sudden, Orton throws Reigns out of the ring.  Reigns is on the outside and grabs a chair.  He hops back in the ring and blasts Orton with the chair causing the DQ.  The ref awards the match but NOT the title to Orton.  Orton complains saying he won the match.  The ref had to remind him titles do not change hands on a disqualification.  Orton was livid.  While he was throwing a tantrum in the ring, Reigns hit Orton with the sickest looking spear we’ve ever seen.  Orton crumbled to the mat.  Reigns stands tall over Orton and flaunts his title.  He then leaves as medics come out to check on Randy.

As we prepare for our main event, announcers Marvelous Marc and Dangerous Derek make their way to ringside.

Derek:  This crowd is HOT.

Marc:  You know, I’ve announced quite a few matches and this crowd by far has to be the most energetic I’ve witnessed.

Derek:  I hear ya.  You know, I have to say that Roman Reigns is a monster.  This guy is going to be the future of our sport.

Marc:  I hear what you’re saying.  In fact, the main event for tonight is sort of a new blood vs legend blood with AJ Styles taking on the Olympic Gold medalist Kurt Angle.

Derek:  You know, AJ’s been doing this a long time too.  He’s not exactly a youngster.

Marc:  He has age and experience so this match should be a classic.

Derek:  Let’s get this underway.

The main event begins with Kurt Angle making his way to the ring first followed by AJ Styles.

Derek:  And with that, we will call it a night.  For Marvelous Marc, I’m Dangerous Derek saying “Good Fight…”

Marc:  “…and Good Night.”

This brings an end to the day’s activities.  Stay tuned for more action coming tomorrow.
