HCW Voltage – June 29, 2025
Location: Greenville Wellness Arena – Greenville, South Carolina
Announce Team: Sam Duffy & Rick Granger
[Opening pyro blasts as the Voltage logo flashes on screen. The crowd in Greenville is loud, split between jeers and desperate cheers for their former hero.]
Sam Duffy:
“Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another installment of the HCW Wrestling Newsletter! We are live on the final stop before Meltdown, and tonight Voltage comes to you from a fired-up Greenville, South Carolina!”
Rick Granger:
“And Sam, this is a city that used to worship Jack Lumber—but let’s not kid ourselves, the man who used to wear red, white, and blue now bathes in black.”
Sam Duffy:
“And you can bet the Dominion’s U.S. Champion won’t wait long to make his presence known.”
[The arena shifts to boos as the arena lights dim and a jagged tree silhouette pulses on screen. Out walks Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber, dressed in black and crimson with the U.S. Title slung over one shoulder. His once-enthusiastic stride is now slow, cold, and deliberate. No handshakes—just sneers.]
Rick Granger:
“There he is, folks. The man who turned his back on every kid who believed in the Lumber Lounge.”
Sam Duffy:
“He calls himself Timberfang now. That’s not a nickname—that’s a warning.”
[Jack enters the ring with a mic, holding up the U.S. Title to loud boos. A “YOU SOLD OUT!” chant starts. He smiles like he loves it.]
Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber:
“Greenville... you smell that?”
[He sniffs the air and grimaces.]
“Smells like desperation and disappointment. Smells like you people still hoping the old Jack Lumber’s gonna come ridin’ back out of the woods to save the day.”
[He laughs and shakes his head.]
“You idiots sittin’ in the so-called Lumber Lounge still wearin’ my old red flannel... it’s pathetic. I’m not your hero anymore. I don’t carry axes—I break ‘em. I don’t fight for the people—I fight for power.”
[He raises the U.S. Title high.]
“This? This is the start. Tonight, Mr. X gets chopped down and rolled out like the used car salesman’s mascot he is. And then…”
[Jack points to the hard camera, eyes like ice.]
“…on July 4th, in Dominion Rules, I walk into Meltdown and take the World Title from Zack Brown. And when that bell rings, there won’t be red, white, and blue fireworks—just darkness falling over the entire world.”
[Boos grow louder.]
“You want a hero? Go cry to your mama. Darkness is the new light—and if you don’t like it, you can shut up, sit down, and get used to it.”
[Crowd erupts in jeers—suddenly, a neon flash and cheap synth music hits: it's Mr. X! He rushes the ring with one of his ridiculous promo props, swinging wildly at Jack.]
Sam Duffy:
“Here comes Mr. X! He’s had enough of the insults!”
[Jack dodges the first swing, kicks Mr. X in the gut, and hurls him into the turnbuckles. The crowd’s stunned as Jack mounts the middle rope and rains down stiff punches, before yanking X out and driving him into the mat with the TIMMMBEERRRRR.]
Rick Granger:
“He flattened him like a Dominion shadow falling over the sun!”
[Jack stands over Mr. X, dusts off his hands, then wipes his boots on the fallen challenger. He looks right into the camera with a twisted grin.]
Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber:
“Playtime’s over. I’m bringin’ darkness to Meltdown—and to anyone dumb enough to stand in my way.”
[He tosses the mic and raises the U.S. Title once more, drawing another storm of boos as Mr. X rolls out of the ring, coughing and clutching his ribs.]
Sam Duffy:
“I don’t like him, Rick, but I believe him. Jack Lumber may be more dangerous now than he’s ever been.”
Rick Granger:
“Two titles in five days? If the Dominion’s plan works, this whole company could be swallowed whole.”
[The Voltage theme fades and the arena transitions to match mode as the opening contest is introduced.]
Tony Calibur (ring announcer):
“Ladies and gentlemen, your opening contest is scheduled for one fall!”
[The crowd perks up as the classic heroic horns of Son of Stache’s theme hit. He bursts through the curtain, pointing his finger to the sky and stroking his curled mustache with flair. The fans in Greenville erupt.]
Sam Duffy:
“There he is! Son of Stache is in the building and still riding a wave of momentum despite the brutal odds stacked against him in recent weeks!”
Rick Granger:
“He’s got heart, Duffy, but he’s about to go toe-to-toe with a walking avalanche.”
[Son of Stache slaps hands down the aisle, throws his jacket to a ringside kid, and twirls his mustache before stepping between the ropes.]
[The lights dim. The air grows cold. A thunderous roar echoes through the arena followed by distorted circus music. Smoke pours from the entrance tunnel as The Yeti stomps out with Polly Mason at his side—her face painted like cracked porcelain, dragging a leash of iron chain attached to Yeti’s massive wrist cuff.]
Tony Calibur:
“Making his way to the ring, accompanied by Polly Mason… from parts frozen and forgotten… standing nearly seven feet tall… THE! YEEEETIIIIII!”
Sam Duffy:
“Look at Polly’s face—no emotion, no hesitation. And the Yeti? He looks like he wants to devour Greenville whole.”
Rick Granger:
“The most terrifying part? This is just a tune-up for what’s coming at Meltdown.”
[Yeti steps over the ropes with one leg, snorts fog from his nostrils, and glares down at Son of Stache, who gulps but puffs his chest defiantly. Polly slithers to ringside, sitting cross-legged on the floor and watching like a predator waiting for blood.]
Sam Duffy:
“Son of Stache has courage, but courage might not be enough against this creature…”
Rick Granger:
“Let’s see if he can survive the frostbite.”
[Honest Abe calls for the bell, and the opening contest is underway.]
Match #1: The Yeti w/Polly vs Son of Stache.
[Opening bell rings as the crowd roars in anticipation. Son of Stache throws his arms in the air to rally the Greenville faithful. Across the ring, The Yeti glares with cold malice, Polly Mason crouched at ringside like a porcelain vulture.]
Son of Stache showed guts early, fighting off The Yeti’s brute strength with ring savvy and determination. He weathered a grinding headlock and responded with a sneaky Caballero Eye Rake, followed by a burst of offense including the Lasso clothesline and a snap Whiplash suplex that got the crowd rocking.
Sam Duffy:
“Son of Stache is putting up one heck of a fight! He’s got the crowd behind him!”
Rick Granger:
“That’s guts, Duffy. But guts only get you so far when you’re trapped in a frozen vice.”
Stache’s offense kept him competitive—executing his Sh*t Kicker dropkicks and Rodeo Roundhouse—but Yeti’s grinding power told the longer story. He repeatedly dragged Stache into punishing bearhugs, brutal elbow drops, and grinding chinlocks that slowed the pace and wore the crowd’s hopeful energy thin.
Sam Duffy:
“Stache keeps kicking out! But how much more can he take?”
Rick Granger:
“He’s got more heart than sense—and it’s about to get squeezed right out of him!”
After a last-ditch burst of offense by Son of Stache—scoring with yet another Whiplash suplex—he tried to rally the crowd with a shaky fist in the air. But The Yeti caught him, mid-step, and crushed the air out of him with a monstrous bearhug, wrenching and twisting until his legs gave out.
Sam Duffy:
“He’s fading! Honest Abe is checking!”
Rick Granger:
“And there it is—he taps! The Yeti claims another soul on the road to Meltdown!”
✅ Winner: The Yeti (via submission – Bearhug)
[Polly Mason slides into the ring and kneels beside The Yeti, whispering something into his ear with eerie glee. The Yeti looms over the fallen Son of Stache, grabbing a handful of hair like he’s preparing another strike.]
Sam Duffy:
“Oh come on, the match is over! Don’t do this!”
[Suddenly the crowd erupts as “Alaskan Wildman” Jax Brenner barrels down the ramp like a freight train.]
Rick Granger:
“Here comes Jax! Business is about to pick up!”
[The Yeti drops Son of Stache like a piece of firewood and turns to face Jax. Polly slinks back toward the ropes, smirking. The Yeti steps out of the ring calmly, locking eyes with Jax the entire time. Polly guides Yeti as they retreat—never breaking that silent, eerie stare.]
Sam Duffy:
“That stare… that smirk from Polly… they know what they’re doing. Psychological warfare before Meltdown!”
[Jax kneels beside Son of Stache, helping him up slowly. The two battered warriors nod to each other, and with Jax’s arm around Stache’s back, they head up the ramp together.]
Rick Granger:
“Respect. That’s what Jax is all about. But come July 4, there won’t be any handshakes. There’ll be war.”
Sam Duffy:
“2 out of 3 falls. One hour. No mercy. Meltdown is coming—and this was just the opening blast.”
[BACKSTAGE] – NPCW Broadcast – CAMERA ON: Candace Hart stands beside J.R. Holland in front of an HCW "After Dark" banner.
CANDACE HART (warm smile, voice steely):
(Turns to J.R. Holland, nodding once)
“Standing with me is the voice of After Dark, a woman who built her reputation on brutal honesty and sharp insight—not cheap shots. But after Dave Kent’s little fireworks display last night, I think it’s time someone returned the favor.”
J.R. HOLLAND (arms crossed, voice calm but cutting):
“He calls HCW soft? Says we’re bland?”
(Small smirk)
“Dave, I’ve seen pudding with more backbone than half the boys stomping around NPCW in fur coats and fake beards. You want edge? Come sit across from me and bring something worth debating. Because I’ve chewed up tougher men than you between commercial breaks.”
CANDACE HART (stepping in, her voice rising):
“And let’s not forget, you were the one begging for an invite. Truth Wayne didn’t need to chase you down — you volunteered to sit in that hot seat. So on July 4th, bring your sharp tongue and your smug little smirk, and we’ll see how long either one survives on our stage.”
J.R. HOLLAND (deadpan):
“This isn’t the North Pole, Dave. We don’t giftwrap opinions. We deliver the truth — whether you like it or not. And if you think you’re walking into a fluff segment, you're gonna find out real quick that the only thing soft around here… is your ego.”
CANDACE HART (to camera, with venom):
“July 4th. Meltdown. Dave Kent sits under our lights, on our mic, in front of a fanbase that doesn’t flinch.
Get ready, Brute — because the fire you’re looking for? You just walked into the inferno.”
[Camera lingers on J.R.’s steely gaze before fading out.]
[The arena darkens as eerie Wagnerian horns swell over the speakers. A black flag bearing a broken gear and blood-dripping eagle unfurls over the entrance tunnel. The crowd unleashes a tidal wave of boos.]
Tony Calibur (ring announcer):
“Introducing first… at a combined weight of 749 pounds… representing the 5th Column—Baron von Blood and Oswald Zimmerman—and their partner… Otto Ruthless!”
[The Baron steps out first, chin raised with disdain, wearing a storm-grey overcoat and black leather gloves. Zimmerman flanks him, eyes cold behind dark glasses. Otto Ruthless storms out last, unkempt shirt under a ripped trench coat, his hands already taped and his eyes twitching with wild energy.]
Sam Duffy:
“Here comes the twisted trinity—and listen to Greenville! They’re letting these three know exactly what they think.”
Rick Granger:
“The 5th Column already poisoned the tag division—now they’ve got joining their cause.”
[All three men march to the ring, Otto punching the turnbuckle post before sliding in on his knees, snarling at the fans.]
[Suddenly, a burst of triumphant, militaristic rock hits as the screen flashes with red-white-and-blue fists. The crowd erupts.]
Tony Calibur:
“And their opponents… first, from the Muscle District… standing tall and flexin’ harder than liberty itself… the human battle tank… Biceps Bannerman!”
[Biceps bursts through the curtain, muscles pumped and arms raised like a champion. He pounds his chest and roars with the crowd.]
Rick Granger:
“That man could bench press all three of his opponents. With one arm.”
Sam Duffy:
“And salute while doing it, Rick!”
Tony Calibur:
“His partner… hailing from Citrus County… the juice is loose—Julius Squeezer!”
[Orange-and-yellow lights swirl as Julius Squeezer appears with his signature juicer helmet and mesh singlet. He slaps hands down the aisle, pumping a juice bottle in one hand like a rally flag.]
Sam Duffy:
“Squeezer’s not just comic relief—he’s a surprisingly technical brawler when things get going!”
Rick Granger:
“If he gets Otto in that Orange Press Clutch, it could squash the uprising.”
Tony Calibur:
“And finally… standing over six and a half feet tall… from the Appalachian timberline… Blake “Oak Tree” Hill!”
[The lights turn forest green as Blake Hill emerges, arms crossed like a stone guardian. He steps to the ring slowly and stoically, then lifts one massive arm skyward as pyro erupts behind him.]
Sam Duffy:
“The big man’s got bark and bite, and tonight he’s swinging back at tyranny!”
Rick Granger:
“Look at the size of this trio. The 5th Column might have tactics—but these boys brought the heavy lumber.”
[All three faces hit the ring to a massive ovation, staring down their opponents from across the battlefield.]
Match #2: Six Man Tag match: Biceps, Julius and Blake Hill vs the 5th Column and Otto Ruthless
VS
[The bell rings, and the Greenville crowd is still buzzing from the energy of the entrances.]
Sam Duffy:
“This one has powder keg written all over it, Rick. You’ve got muscle, madness, and menace all packed into that ring.”
Rick Granger:
“And I think Otto Ruthless left ‘sanity’ backstage again.”
The match kicked off with Biceps Bannerman and Otto Ruthless, two bulls charging into one another. Otto struck first but couldn’t gain any ground as Biceps shrugged him off with sheer power, rallying the crowd early. That led to a series of high-impact tag team combos with Julius Squeezer and Bannerman combining for throws, slams, and a pop-worthy rolling waistlock slam.
Sam Duffy:
“Otto got squeezed AND slammed! He barely beat that ten count back into the ring.”
Rick Granger:
“But now the 5th Column gets involved—and that’s when things get real nasty.”
The 5th Column proved their underhanded tactics were sharp as ever—Baron von Blood and Zimmerman joined Otto in a three-man mugging, delivering stiff punches, a low blow, and more calculated strikes. But Bannerman fought back valiantly with a Biceps Crunch, slowing the storm.
Sam Duffy:
“Even triple-teamed, Biceps won’t go down without throwing someone!”
Rick Granger:
“And now look who’s in—Blake Hill is the anchor in this redwood of a team!”
[Oak Tree Hill leveled Otto with a series of punishing avalanches and power forearms, before tagging in for a beautiful triple-team spot with all three faces laying in big offense. Squeezer dropped shoulder blocks, Biceps locked in a crushing bearhug, and Hill chopped Otto down like a rotted pine.]
Otto managed a brief comeback, flooring all three men with a burst of rage and tagging in Baron von Blood, but the strategy faltered. Oak Tree absorbed the Baron’s stiff strikes and drove him back into the corner, before Otto tagged back in for one final surge.
Rick Granger:
“Otto’s back in and look out—he smells blood!”
Sam Duffy:
“But here comes the BOOM!”
[Suddenly, the arena exploded with gasps and cheers as Tumu “The Island Beast” Vaega and Samoan Stomper Raku of the Samoan Bloodline stormed the ring from the crowd side. They blindsided the 5th Column—Baron and Zimmerman taken out with simultaneous Samoan drops onto the floor!]
Sam Duffy:
“THE BLOODLINE!! The Boot Camp preview just got real!”
Rick Granger:
“But they didn’t touch Otto… and Honest Abe didn’t see a thing!”
[In the ring, Otto turned around—distracted by the commotion outside—and was immediately crushed in the corner by Blake Hill’s Avalanche Splash! Otto staggered forward and Blake dropped him center ring with a big boot followed by a pinfall!]
1...2...3!
✅ Winners: Biceps Bannerman, Julius Squeezer & Blake “Oak Tree” Hill (via pinfall – Avalanche by Hill on Otto Ruthless)
[The babyface trio raises their arms and leave to a solid pop from the crowd.]
Rick Granger:
“The 5th Column got flattened—and not just in the match. The Samoan Bloodline just served a live-fire warning for Meltdown!”
Sam Duffy:
“That was a surgical strike from Raku and Tumu—and you better believe the war is coming July 4th.”
HCW PROMO SEGMENT: “FOR SUZIE, I STAND”
LOCATION: Backstage in a dimly lit stone-walled dressing room in the bowels of the arena. One flickering overhead light. The walls are lined with candles, casting shadows that dance and stretch. An old phonograph plays a warped, faint carnival waltz.
[CAMERA: STATIC SHOT – CENTERED]
A battered wooden chair sits in the middle. YETI sits hunched forward, elbows on his knees, hands clasped. His monstrous frame looms in silence. He wears the "BUBBA JAXIE" shirt – the cruel nickname emblazoned in cracked white print. His face is painted in dark, ritualistic smears – eyes blackened like frostbite.
Standing behind him, flanking him:
Polly in a tattered pink dress and mismatched boots, twirling slowly, arms out like a ballerina. Her giggle echoes softly.
Count Vlad in a black velvet suit with crimson lining, hands folded, eyes burning with delight – the puppet master at rest.
YETI (voice low, like gravel on ice)
"Time melts everything, doesn't it, Bubba Jaxie?"
(he looks directly into the camera)
"Memories, flesh, even the strongest wills... they all crumble like old snow. But trauma—
trauma freezes.
It traps you in time. Makes you relive one moment… over, and over, and over..."*
(He leans closer, the light catching the madness in his gaze.)
"I’ve been watching you unravel, Jax. Like a wolf peeling back a carcass. All it took was a whisper... a shadow... a familiar face..."
(Polly twirls faster, giggling.)
COUNT VLAD (smiling, rich voice with a cruel lilt)
"And what a face it was, no? You thought it was your precious Molly—
(he leans into the camera, whispering)
"But it was Polly, cousin and chaos incarnate. A little confusion, a little affection, and just like that..."
(chuckles)
"We turned your heart into glass—and now every step we take shatters it."
[YETI RISES]
The chair creaks under his massive weight. He walks slowly toward the camera.
"And now we stand at the gates of HCW MELTDOWN. A 2-out-of-3 falls match. Final judgment.
Just like you failed Suzie...
You’ll fail this match too."
(He pauses. The room stills. His voice quiets.)
"But here’s what you don't understand, Jax. This fight...
It’s not about you anymore."
(He grips the bottom of the BUBBA JAXIE shirt... and rips it off in one violent motion—underneath, he reveals a crisp, clean shirt: "I STAND FOR SUZIE" written in bold script across the chest, with a faded photo of a smiling young girl—Suzie—framed in a heart of frost.)
YETI (cont’d)
"She died alone.
Because you weren’t there.
But I am.
I stand for Suzie.
So she will not be forgotten."
(He raises his hands in reverence. The candles flicker violently. A deep wind howls.)
POLLY (stops spinning. Her eyes roll back, then forward again. She stares dead at the camera. Whispers):
"For Suzie... I stand."
[MUSIC BEGINS – Slow, eerie piano intro, echoing into strings]
(Polly walks into frame and begins to sing—haunting, off-key yet emotionally powerful.)
🎵 "For Suzie, I Stand" – A Polly Mason Song 🎵
(Slow, eerie piano intro, shifting into somber strings)
[Verse 1]
The mountain shakes, the cold wind calls,
Footsteps echo down frozen halls.
One stands tall, one bears the weight,
Of sins left screaming in the hands of fate.
[Chorus]
I fight for the voice lost in the night,
For the sister who fades in memory’s light.
Jaxie, you ran, but I take my stand—
For Suzie, I rise, for Suzie, I stand.
(Polly twirls once again, slower now. Her hands mime snow falling. The shadows move as if alive.)
[Verse 2]
Did you hear her cry beneath the snow?
Did you turn your back, just let her go?
Bubba failed, the past still burns,
But Yeti fights, the tide now turns.
[Chorus]
I fight for the voice lost in the night,
For the sister who fades in memory’s light.
Jaxie, you ran, but I take my stand—
For Suzie, I rise, for Suzie, I stand.
(A mournful violin solo swells. Yeti stands still, arms crossed, looming like a mountain god. Vlad nods slowly, drinking in the power of the moment.)
[Bridge]
Two falls to judgment, two falls to truth,
Tonight the ice claims more than you.
Suzie calls in howling winds—
Her fate now rests within my hands.
[Final Chorus]
I fight for the voice lost in the night,
For the sister who fades in memory’s light.
Jaxie, you ran, but I take my stand—
For Suzie, I rise, for Suzie, I stand.
(The piano fades. Polly whispers into the silence:)
“For Suzie… we rise.”
[FINAL SHOT]
Yeti steps back. Vlad claps once.
Polly bows deeply like she’s on a grand stage.
All three smile—not joyfully, but with quiet, terrifying certainty.
FADE TO BLACK.
Sam Duffy (quiet, shaken tone):
“I… I don’t even know what to say. That wasn’t a promo. That was a funeral dirge disguised as a prophecy.”
Rick Granger (somber, focused):
“I’ve called hundreds of matches, Sam, and I’ve seen mind games before. But that? That was psychological warfare. That was trauma weaponized.”
Sam Duffy:
“For Suzie, I Stand… a phrase that will haunt Jax Brenner all the way into Meltdown. And maybe beyond.”
Rick Granger:
“Jax says he fights like a wildman… but now he’s fighting a man possessed. A monster with a mission. And with Count Vlad orchestrating it all? It’s not just personal—it’s spiritual.”
Sam Duffy (straightening up):
“But right now, we shift from the darkness of the past to the thunder of the present. Tag team action on deck—Thunder and Lightning take on the Samoan Bloodline!”
Rick Granger:
“They better be ready—because you know the Bloodline saw that 5th Column sneak attack from earlier tonight. And payback? It’s never far behind.”
🔔 Match Introductions:
[The crowd is electric as upbeat rock music kicks in. Out step the popular duo of ‘Lightning’ Ethan Hayes and Rafael 'Rafa' Castillo—known collectively as Thunder & Lightning. They slap hands with fans and pose on the turnbuckles, soaking in the cheers.]
Tony Calibur:
“Introducing first… at a combined weight of 415 pounds… the team of ‘Lightning’ Ethan Hayes and Rafael ‘Rafa’ Castillo… this is THUNDER AND LIGHTNING!”
Sam Duffy:
“They’ve become a crowd favorite here on Voltage—fast, fearless, and full of fight!”
Rick Granger:
“Yeah, but tonight they’re up against pure island power—and that storm is a whole different weather pattern.”
[The arena rumbles with tribal drums and deep battle chants. Emerging from the tunnel are Tumu ‘The Island Beast’ Vaega and Samoan Stomper Raku, bare-chested and war-painted, arms raised in defiance. They slap their chests and yell in unison as the crowd shows them full respect.]
Tony Calibur:
“And their opponents… representing the Samoan Bloodline… at a combined weight of 561 pounds… RAKU and TUMU — THE SAMOAN BLOODLINE!”
Sam Duffy:
“Listen to that! It’s respect for warriors on both sides!”
Rick Granger:
“I don’t know who these fans want to win—but I do know this match is going to be a battle.”
Match #3: Samoan Bloodline vs Thunder and Lightning (Ethan Hayes and Rafael Sandoval)
From the opening bell, this was a showcase of agility vs. power, respect vs. pride, and strategy vs. instinct.
Ethan Hayes started hot, darting under Raku’s first few swings and answering with dropkicks, gourdbusters, and well-timed Twist of Fate strikes. But Raku responded with stiff chops and grinding power moves, eventually dragging the match into more physical territory.
Sam Duffy:
“Lightning is flying around, but Raku is dragging him into a storm!”
Tags were made on both sides, and the action picked up with double team sequences—including a Swanton Bomb from Ethan and a Rolling Elbow from Rafa—matched by Raku’s ruthless Grind Face into Post and Tumu’s devastating Island Quake.
The respect stayed intact, but the stakes rose fast. Near-falls came and went, with Ethan nearly sealing the deal after a double legdrop/falcon arrow combo, but Raku kicked out at two. The fans were on their feet for most of it.
But as the match neared its final stages, chaos struck.
Just as Raku took control and tossed Rafa out of the ring, Honest Abe got clipped during the collision. Rafa and the ref were both down at ringside… and that’s when the crowd turned. Gasps filled the arena as Baron von Blood and Oswald Zimmerman of the 5th Column emerged from the crowd and blindsided the Samoan Bloodline on the floor! They drove Tumu head-first into the steel steps and double-teamed Raku with a gut kick and spike DDT onto the floor.
Rick Granger:
“No! Not like this! The 5th Column just ambushed the Bloodline!”
Sam Duffy:
“Rafa and Honest Abe didn’t see it—Ethan didn’t see it! This is a hit job!”
[The 5th Column vanished back into the crowd just as quickly as they came, leaving Raku half-conscious. Rafa slowly stirred, groggy, while Ethan—oblivious—saw Raku being rolled back into the ring and seized the opportunity.]
[Ethan hit a clean, high-impact Twist of Fate right in the center of the ring, dropping into the pin as the ref crawled into position.]
1… 2… 3!
✅ Winners: Thunder & Lightning (via pinfall – Twist of Fate by Ethan Hayes on Raku)
[Ethan jumps to his feet, throwing his arm in the air as Rafa reenters the ring, still looking a little dazed. The crowd cheers—but the celebration is laced with unease as a replay on the jumbotron shows the 5th Column’s ambush.]
Sam Duffy:
“He had no idea. Ethan Hayes picked up the win fair in his eyes—but this was anything but clean.”
Rick Granger:
“You think the Samoan Bloodline’s gonna let that slide? Thunder and Lightning may have been used—but someone’s getting stormed on real soon.”
[Raku and Tumu stir at ringside, visibly furious and confused. Ethan and Rafa offer to help, but the Bloodline waves them off, clearly trying to piece together what just happened as the show cuts to a commercial.]

[The screen fades in from commercial as the arena lights pulse in a radiant spectrum of silver, violet, and crimson. The crowd in Greenville is on its feet.]
Sam Duffy:
“Welcome back to HCW Voltage, folks—and we’re shifting gears now to what’s sure to be a heated collision in the women’s division!”
Rick Granger:
“Fan favorites on one side, pure calculated chaos on the other—this one’s gonna set the tone for Meltdown!”
✨ Entrances:
The lights glow star-white as a pulsing cosmic synth beat hits the speakers. Out comes Starla Nova, arms wide to the heavens. The crowd cheers loudly as she’s joined by the graceful Luna Shadow, and moments later, Phoenix Blaze bursts through with a fiery spin and a trail of flame sparks.]
Tony Calibur (ring announcer):
“Introducing first… the team of Starla Nova, Luna Shadow, and Phoenix Blaze!”
[The trio hits the ramp in sync—Starla pointing to the sky, Luna gliding like a phantom, and Phoenix igniting energy on every step. They hit the ring ready for battle, rallying the crowd behind them.]
Sam Duffy:
“This is a dream team of resilience, balance, and fire. Starla brings experience, Luna brings mystery, and Phoenix brings heat!”
Rick Granger:
“But standing across from them is a very different kind of storm.”
🩸 Entrances – The Dark Dominion Vixens:
[The arena lights cut to black. Crimson floodlights strobe like a heartbeat. Gothic choral tones and a low hum of distorted violins swell—then, a howl. The curtain parts and out steps Count Vlad, composed and commanding in black velvet and red silk, flanked by his Vixens.]
Talia Nocturne glides out like royalty in mourning, her eyes locked dead ahead.
Selena Blackfang slinks beside her, expression cold and amused.
Behind them, Korbi Kong stomps with menace, flexing her arms and cracking her neck.
Tony Calibur:
“And their opponents… accompanied by Count Vlad… representing The Dark Dominion… Talia Nocturne, Selena ‘Widow’s Fang’ Blackfang, and Korbi Kong!”
[The boos erupt. Vlad leads the procession with quiet satisfaction, smirking as the crowd rains hate down upon them. He gestures to the ring like a man presenting an execution stage.]
Sam Duffy:
“Look at Vlad—calm as a graveyard. The Vixens aren’t just competitors. They’re a message.”
Rick Granger:
“And that message is simple: Dominion doesn’t lose. Dominion devours.”
[The Vixens take their place on the apron as Vlad steps aside, whispering something into Talia’s ear with an amused glint. Starla, Luna, and Phoenix stare them down, refusing to blink.]
Sam Duffy:
“The line is drawn. Starla, Luna, and Phoenix are ready to fight for something bigger. But will that be enough to stop the Dominion machine?”
Match #4: The Dark Dominion Vixens w/Count Vlad vs Starla Nova, Luna Shadow and Phoenix Blaze.
VS
[As the bell rings, the energy in Greenville is electric—half anticipation, half dread—as the Vixens of the Dark Dominion prowl their corner while Starla, Luna, and Phoenix stand firm, backs together, refusing to blink.]
Sam Duffy:
“This one’s been simmering for weeks. You’ve got heart, honor, and fire… staring down pure, tactical evil.”
Rick Granger:
“And then there’s Vlad at ringside, smirking like the devil with a front-row seat to judgment.”
🔷 Opening Chaos:
The match explodes from the start. Selena Blackfang opens against Luna Shadow, immediately initiating a Dominion triple-team—Selena hits a somersault plancha, Korbi crushes Luna with a running clothesline, and Talia follows with an exploder suplex out of the corner. But Luna survives, battling back with a picture-perfect Moonlit Suplex before tagging in and out with her partners to stabilize the match.
🔷 The Talia Nocturne Clinic:
The match then morphs into a stretch of domination from Talia Nocturne, who executes a seamless sequence of moves on Luna—Nightmare Choke, Red Wedding Facebuster, Slingblade, and Nurse’s Prescription Powerbomb. Every time Luna kicks out, Count Vlad grows more entertained than frustrated.
Rick Granger:
“She’s not trying to win quickly—she’s trying to break Luna piece by piece.”
🔷 Momentum Shift:
Luna rallies, managing to reverse a clipboard smack and hit a Celestial Elbow Drop, buying just enough time to tag in Phoenix Blaze. Blaze ignites the crowd with a flurry of suplexes and strikes. Talia eats a Capture Suplex, a Leg Trap Crossface, and finally gets forced to tag out after a brutal exchange with Starla Nova.
🔷 Deep Into the Match:
Despite strong offense from Phoenix and Starla, the Dominion Vixens cut the ring in half repeatedly. They target Luna again—now the clear weak link—and isolate her for extended punishment. Even after a beautiful Abyssal Lock and triple-team rally from the faces, it’s Korbi and Selena who keep the pressure mounting.
🔥 Match Climax:
Luna finally scores a desperation Eclipse Dropkick to regain control. She attempts a tag—but Korbi Kong grabs her leg from outside the ring just as Selena makes the switch. Luna gets dragged back, and Selena capitalizes immediately, planting her with a Spinning Leghook Fireman’s Carry Slam before locking in the Cloverleaf. Luna struggles, but with her hand inches from the rope, Korbi tugs it back again!
Sam Duffy:
“Korbi pulled the rope away! Ref didn’t see it!”
Rick Granger:
“This is theft! Flat-out theft!”
[Luna passes out. Selena makes the cover for the 1-2-3. ‘Honest’ Abe never saw the interference. The bell rings.]
✅ Winners: The Dark Dominion Vixens (via pinfall – Selena Blackfang over Luna Shadow)
🔥 Post-Match Mayhem:
[The boos begin instantly—but before the Vixens can revel in their win—ASHLEY “DIAMOND” SUMMERS storms down the ramp! The crowd erupts as she dives into the ring and immediately tackles Talia Nocturne!]
Sam Duffy:
“ASHLEY! ASHLEY’S HERE! No more waiting for the cage—she wants Talia now!”
[Ashley and Talia trade wild punches as they roll out of the ring and brawl up the ramp, fists flying. Ruth Heartless follows her out and makes her way around the ring.]
Rick Granger:
“She didn’t come to fight—she came to hunt!”
[Back in the ring, Selena and Korbi are blindsided by a synchronized assault—Starla, Phoenix, and Luna unite, unleashing punches, kicks, and stereo dropkicks to send the Vixens packing through the ropes!]
😮 But Then…
[As Vlad calmly walks, unaware, Ruth comes up from behind him and as Vlad turns... WHAM! RUTH CLOCKS HIM FROM BEHIND WITH A FOREARM!*]
Sam Duffy:
“WHAT?! RUTH JUST DECKED COUNT VLAD!!”
Rick Granger:
“She snuck behind the master and just punched the smirk off his face—NO WAIT… no she didn’t…”
[Vlad slowly turns his head. He's not angry. Not shocked. Just… smiling. Not with joy, but with approval. He dusts off his shoulder, and with Korbi and Selena’s help, he walks up the ramp backward—still smirking.]
Sam Duffy:
“He’s not upset. He’s amused. That’s what’s terrifying.”
Rick Granger:
“Ruth may have landed a shot—but Vlad? He’s playing chess with broken rules.”
[The faces regroup in the ring, standing tall as the crowd roars, while the Dominion disappears into shadow at the top of the ramp, darkness ever patient. Ruth and Ashley head to the back.]
[BACKSTAGE – HCW Voltage | Interview Zone]
Candace Hart stands in front of an HCW Voltage backdrop. Her microphone is in hand, professional and poised. Next to her, bouncing slightly in place and wearing a ridiculous silver-and-blue tracksuit, is the endlessly obnoxious Mr. X. He’s got a toy version of the U.S. Title slung over his shoulder and a pair of wraparound shades over his mask.
Candace Hart:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with the challenger in tonight’s main event—Mr. X—who will face Jack ‘Timberfang’ Lumber for the United States Championship. Mr. X, your thoughts heading into this title opportunity?”
Mr. X:
“Candace, Candace, Candace! Let me start by asking you something: Have you ever believed in a dream so hard that your sunglasses fogged up from the power of it?”
Candace Hart (deadpan):
“…No.”
Mr. X:
“Well I have! And tonight, that dream becomes a reality! Because America’s favorite masked marketing machine is going to take that U.S. Title from that brooding, flannel-shaming, ex-patriot Timber-fake! And when I do?”
[He taps the toy belt proudly, the plastic rattling like a dollar store toy.]
Mr. X (building momentum):
“I will be Mr. United States X-cellence. I’ll put the ‘freedom’ back in freedom fighter! I’ll be the champ this country deserves—complete with action figures, lunchboxes, and an exclusive Red, White, and X edition lemonade flavor at Scrooge Toys!™ and over at X-CELLENT MOTORS.”
Candace Hart:
“But Jack Lumber’s not just the champion—he’s a member of the Dark Dominion. Are you at all concerned about interference? Vlad? Korbi? Anyone?”
Mr. X (pausing dramatically):
“Am I concerned…?
Concerned?
Candace, I don’t need concern—I’ve got charisma, courage, and 14 novelty shirts currently on sale.
And if Vlad wants to slink down to ringside in his villainous velvet bathrobe? Fine. If Korbi Kong wants to charge the ring like a rhinoceros in boots? Great.
Because tonight… I’m not just stepping into that ring as Mr. X…
I’m walking in as a symbol of hope.
A beacon of possibility.
A walking, talking, title-taking treasure of the people.”
[He throws both arms up like he just won the Super Bowl, knocking over a mic stand in the process. Candace flinches.]
Mr. X (yelling toward the camera):
“TIMBERFANG! You may be Dominion now… but tonight, I’m chopping you down like yesterday’s clearance rack!
The X-ecution is coming…
And X marks the champ!”
[He points both fingers in an X over his chest as confetti inexplicably bursts out of his belt.]
Candace Hart (dryly):
“...Back to ringside.”
[The arena buzzes as the camera cuts to ringside. A chant of “DO-MI-NIC! DO-MI-NIC!” is already building before the music even hits.]
Sam Duffy:
“Coming up next—it’s a one-on-one clash between pride and profit! Evan Stockwell of the Million Dollar Alliance takes on a man who defines blue-collar tradition—Dominic ‘The Italian Thoroughbred’ Marconi!”
Rick Granger:
“And let’s not forget Ruth Heartless is at ringside, which means Stockwell will have more than just his portfolio in play.”
Dominic Marconi’s Entrance:
[Triumphant orchestral horns hit as the crowd roars to its feet. Out steps Dominic Marconi, draped in the Italian flag, arms raised, soaking in the hometown-like love from the Greenville crowd. His eyes are laser-focused, his fists clenched. He taps the HCW logo on his belt and pounds it.]
Tony Calibur (ring announcer):
“Introducing first… from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania… weighing in at 265 pounds… The Italian Thoroughbred… DOMINIC MARCONI!”
[Dominic marches to the ring, no frills, no theatrics—just intensity. He pauses on the steps, looks out to the crowd, and nods. The chants grow louder. His tag team title slung over his shoulder.]
Sam Duffy:
“No nonsense, no gimmicks—Dominic Marconi is the backbone of HCW. And with Meltdown five days away, he’s not letting the Alliance buy a win on his watch.”
Evan Stockwell’s Entrance (w/ Ruth Heartless):
[Suddenly, the music shifts to smug classical jazz layered over an electronic stock market ticker. Out struts Evan ‘The Financial Maverick’ Stockwell, in a silk robe with dollar signs stitched in gold. Ruth Heartless follows behind in designer black, smirking and clapping condescendingly.]
Tony Calibur:
“And his opponent… accompanied by Ruth Heartless… representing the Million Dollar Alliance… weighing in at 223 pounds… EVAN ‘THE FINANCIAL MAVERICK’ STOCKWELL!”
[Stockwell dramatically removes his sunglasses at the top of the ramp and holds up a faux stock certificate labeled “Dominic’s Value = ZERO.” Ruth tears it theatrically in half as they head toward the ring.]
Rick Granger:
“Stockwell’s looking to short sell Dominic’s pride—and with Ruth Heartless by his side? The numbers are always rigged.”
Sam Duffy:
“But this ain’t Wall Street—it’s Marconi Street. And I’ve seen what happens when someone tries to take his house.”
[Stockwell enters the ring and raises his hands like he already won. Dominic doesn’t flinch. He steps forward, nose to nose with Evan. The crowd is ready.]
Sam Duffy:
“Bell’s about to ring—old money versus old school. Let’s see who cashes in!”
Match #5: Evan Stockwell w/Ruth Heartless vs Dominic Marconi
[The bell rings with the crowd fully behind Dominic Marconi, but Evan Stockwell wastes no time.]
Sam Duffy:
“And here we go! Stockwell charging in with that smug confidence he calls ‘market dominance.’”
Rick Granger:
“Hey, Sam, it ain’t smug if you’re right—and so far, he’s playing this match like it’s insider trading.”
Stockwell explodes out of the gate with roughhouse tactics—choking Marconi on the ropes, smashing him into the turnbuckles, and nailing a Hostile Takeover neckbreaker that sends Dominic sprawling. Ruth Heartless shouts “Buy low, SELL HARD!” from ringside.
Sam Duffy:
“Stockwell’s doing everything he can to grind the Thoroughbred down—and you better believe Ruth Heartless has her fingerprints all over this.”
But Dominic fights back, breaking a streak of punishment with a Figure-Four Armlock, wrenching Evan down to the mat. The crowd surges behind him.
Dominic strings together a Power Forearm, Head-First Bodyslam, and an old-school Bearhug that has Stockwell flailing like a shaken investor. Ruth Heartless tries to interfere with her trademark Banker's Briefcase, but Marconi reverses it, sending Ruth scrambling.
Rick Granger:
“She brought the briefcase to the brawl—and still couldn’t close the deal! That’s why Marconi is who he is!”
Sam Duffy:
“He’s fired up now—and if he can lock that arm again, Stockwell’s gonna have to tap or tumble!”
Just as Marconi begins to build steam, the arena lights dim slightly—and two looming figures emerge from the entrance ramp.
It’s Beastfang and Terror Fang.
The crowd erupts in furious boos as the monstrous Dark Dominion duo stand ominously on the stage, arms crossed, staring silently.
Sam Duffy (worried):
“Uh oh. That’s bad news. That’s very bad news. What are they doing out here?!”
Rick Granger:
“They’re not even moving, Sam—but they don’t have to. Marconi sees them. And that’s more than enough.”
Dominic’s eyes lock on the beasts. His jaw tightens. He takes one step toward the ropes—and Evan Stockwell capitalizes, sliding in from behind and grabbing the legs!
HOSTILE TAKEOVER LOCKED IN!
Sam Duffy:
“HE’S GOT IT! HE’S GOT THE HOSTILE TAKEOVER CINCHED IN!”
Dominic thrashes, trying to fight it off—but his eyes flick to the stage once more. The mental toll is just too much.
Rick Granger:
“The Dominion didn’t even lay a finger on him—but they owned that moment. And Stockwell? He just sold the submission.”
Sam Duffy:
“Dominic Marconi taps out! Evan Stockwell steals it with a chokehold and a cold assist from the Dominion’s looming shadow!”
Post-Match
Stockwell rolls off with his arm raised, laughing arrogantly while Ruth Heartless claps like she just rang the opening bell. On the stage, Beastfang and Terror Fang slowly turn and walk backstage—no need for violence tonight. Their message was loud and clear.
Dominic sits in the ring, seething, trying to shake off both the hold and the doubt.
Sam Duffy:
“The tag title match at Meltdown is just five days away—but the war has already begun. The Dark Dominion didn’t throw a single punch... but they sure just made an impact.”
Rick Granger:
“Stockwell wins on paper, but the psychology? That was pure Vlad. Darkness is playing chess, and the rest of us are holding checkers.”
[BACKSTAGE – HCW Voltage, Moments Before the Main Event]
Camera fades in on Larry Morton standing between Count Vlad and U.S. Champion Jack “Timberfang” Lumber. Jack’s face is stoic, his U.S. Title slung over one shoulder, his flannel now black-and-red like a twisted memory of what once was. Vlad stands just behind him, his hands folded, an indulgent smirk on his face.
Larry Morton (nervous):
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with Count Vlad and the United States Champion—Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber—who is moments away from defending that title against Mr. X in tonight’s main event.”
Jack Lumber (cold, direct):
“Save your breath, Morton. These people don’t need introductions. They already know who I am. And they’re terrified to admit it.”
He shifts the title slightly on his shoulder, sneering at the camera.
Jack Lumber:
“See, I hear ‘em—those squealing little fans in the so-called ‘Lumber Lounge’—still chanting my name like I’m gonna come back into the light. Still hangin’ on to hope like it’s their teddy bear.”
He turns directly to the lens, addressing them head-on.
Jack Lumber:
“I got news for all of you weepy throwbacks in plaid. The only thing I see in the light… is weakness. False comfort. Delusion. Darkness? Darkness is honest. Darkness is real. And if it’s too much for you—if my truth is too sharp for your soft little brains—you can go home. Cry to your parents. Post about it on your feed.”
Count Vlad (stepping in, rich and composed):
“They don’t understand, Jack. They can’t. A man reborn in darkness doesn’t crawl back to the light. He shapes the shadows to his will… and burns away the illusion.”
Jack Lumber:
“Tonight, I put Mr. X down. And in five days, I take the World Title and become everything this place fears: a dual champion forged in Dominion fire. Max McGillicutty handed me the match thinking he was clever. But I’m not walking into Meltdown to compete. I’m walking in to complete the takeover.”
He raises the belt to the camera, eyes blazing.
Jack Lumber:
“X marks the spot tonight—but at Meltdown… the whole damn map is mine.”
[Cut to the arena…]
Tony Calibur (ring announcer):
“Ladies and gentlemen… the following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the United States Championship!”
Crowd boos loudly as a smug, showboating figure in a garish suit and shades steps onto the stage, arms wide like he just won a game show.
Tony Calibur:
“Introducing first, the challenger… from Hollywood, California… weighing in at 238 pounds… the commercial king of charisma… MR. X!”
Sam Duffy:
“He’s a heel, no doubt—but this crowd would rather order a used car from Mr. X than spend another second cheering for what Jack Lumber’s become.”
Rick Granger:
“Jack’s betrayal runs deep, Sam. It’s not just that he turned to the Dark Dominion—it’s that he loved turning his back on the fans.”
Lights dim to a chilling red. A haunting howl echoes through the arena. Flames lick the stage as Count Vlad emerges, arms wide, followed by Jack “Timberfang” Lumber—U.S. Title gleaming, expression deadly.
Tony Calibur:
“And his opponent… representing the Dark Dominion… from the Blackwoods of Maine… weighing 265 pounds… he is the reigning United States Champion… JACK ‘TIMBERFANG’ LUMBER!”
Sam Duffy:
“Listen to the venom in that crowd! They used to chant his name with pride—now they want to see him fall harder than ever.”
Rick Granger:
“Well, if Mr. X can’t beat him tonight… there might not be anyone left who can stop Jack from walking into Meltdown with two belts and zero remorse.”
The boos crescendo as Jack stares down Mr. X from the ring apron, handing his title off to “Honest” Abe without ever blinking. Vlad lingers at ringside like a puppet master admiring his latest masterpiece.
Match #6: The Main Event: US Title Match: Jack Lumber vs Mr. X. NO DQ
At the bell, Mr. X caught Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber off guard with a quick bodyslam, following with rapid strikes to try and wear down the bigger man. But Lumber quickly rallied, using brute force and dirty tactics—with Count Vlad even landing a hidden jab with the Transylvania Spike when the referee’s back was turned.
That earned Jack his first close call, and Mr. X just barely escaped at two.
The pace picked up.
Mr. X used his speed and striking—martial arts combinations, hip rolls, and sugar cane sleepers—to keep the towering Timberfang unbalanced. But Jack countered with ruthless aggression, landing punishing atomic drops, power forearms, and a massive TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR clothesline that looked like it could end it.
1… 2… NO! Mr. X survived again.
As the match wore on, both men were running on high octane. The crowd was electric. Every move—Mr. X’s barefoot kicks, Jack’s Yukon bodyslam—drew roars and gasps.
Count Vlad continued to meddle—antagonizing, distracting, even slamming the mat with his cane as Jack locked in a crushing bearhug. Still, Mr. X would not give up.
Johnny 'The Hammer' Harris:
“This isn’t the Mr. X I remember. He’s not just selling cars and action figures tonight—he’s fighting.”
Mike 'The Voice' Johnson:
“And maybe more than just fighting. Maybe surviving.”
Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber looked to finish it. He hauled Mr. X up, screamed “TIMMMMMBEEERRRRR!” again, and drove him to the mat.
He made the cover…
1… 2…
The lights at ringside shifted slightly. The crowd buzzed.
The Wicked Prophet appeared—hood down, eyes locked on the ring.
Mike 'The Voice' Johnson:
“WAIT A MINUTE! THE WICKED PROPHET?! WHAT’S HE DOING OUT HERE?!”
Jack never saw him coming.
CRACK!
The HCW United States Championship crashed into Jack's skull.
He went limp and hit the mat.
Mr. X—dazed—saw his opponent down. He blinked, stumbled to his feet, and pulled Jack up…
POLYNESIAN PILEDRIVER.
He hooked the leg.
1… 2… 3.
WINNER: MR. X
(NEW HCW United States Champion)
Tony Calibur:
“Here is your winner… and the NEW HCW United States Champion… MISTER… X!”
POST-MATCH
Mr. X stood unsteady, clutching the title, laughing at how the final moments unfolded.
The Wicked Prophet remained in the ring corner, arms folded, staring coldly at Jack 'Timberfang' Lumber’s unconscious body. Count Vlad, at ringside, didn't interfere—he simply watched. And smiled.
Johnny 'The Hammer' Harris:
“Tonight, Mike. Count Vlad’s Timberfang has fallen.”
Mike 'The Voice' Johnson:
“You have to wonder—what else does Vlad have going on?”
The final shot showed The Wicked Prophet stepping over Jack’s body—never once looking at Mr. X—as the Dominion’s grip on HCW trembled in shadows.
Fade to black.
End of HCW Live Wire.
The show ends with the announcement that Sam & Rick, Mike and Johnny and JR Holland and Larry Morton will all be calling different matches throughout the night. Candace will handle backstage interviews but will receive assistance from Larry later in the show. Meltdown is up next so stay tuned!
